They sat, side by side, watching the blue ocean and listening to waves gently lapping the shore when Eric suddenly smirked. "What?" George asked softly, puzzled by the sudden change in his young lover's expression.
"Nothing." Feeny arched an eyebrow. "Okay, okay. I was just thinking how much things have changed, how much you've changed me. When I was a kid on vacation, the last person I wanted to see was my teacher."
"I see."
"Don't give me that pout." Eric slipped out of his lounger and draped himself over George's lap. Gazing adoringly up at him, he wrapped his arms around his neck. Sunbeams sparkled on their matching Bahaman shirts and Bermuda shorts. "That was then. This is now, and there's no one else I'd rather be with on vacation or any other time than you, Fah-uh-eee-neey."
He whispered his name against his lips, drawing it out as he had oft teased him since he'd been a teenager with a major crush on his favorite teacher and then kissed him long, deeply, and sweetly. Time had certainly changed them, but life had never been better than it was right here, his favorite place in all the world, his beloved Feeny's arms.
