"Merlin, that boy is such a bloody git!" Hermione shrieked as she stormed into the room, a room which she believed to be empty. She soon found herself to be wrong.

"May I ask whom is 'such a bloody git'?" asked Remus, the other occupant of the space. Hermione started at his interjection, brown eyes wide with surprise.

"Ron," she groaned. "He can be so thick!"

"What is the issue this time?"

"He just... UGH!" Hermione lamented. "He doesn't deal with anything, he just waits for things to 'work them out for themselves'." The last phrase was accompanied by air quotes.

He sighed, moving from the second floor room at 12 Grimmauld Place to the rotting wooden staircase. Hermione followed expectantly.

"People never handle things, Hermione," Remus told her. "They just harbor them until their docks are full." He paused, noting the soggy texture of the balustrade's wood beneath his fingers. "And some people have very large docks."

She stood at the top of the staircase while he was half way down. When he turned to await her rebuttal, she was looking at him in a most confused fashion. He ran over what he said in his mind, and understood her befuddlement.

"That sounded better in my head," he added.

"Yeah..."

"What I mean is that not many people deal with things right away like you do," he revised. "Ron is one of those people that can put off handling various tasks for a long extent of time."

"But how do I change that?" she queried.

"You either learn to deal with it, or gently coax him into completing things in a timely manner." When his advice was met with silence, he continued. "Hermione, what didn't he deal with that got you so riled up?"

"Loads of stuff. I have to practically force him to do his schoolwork, he is hardly trying to maintain contact with Harry, he's just... UGH!"

"In his defense, it's only midway through summer, and Harry can't know anything, you're perfectly aware of that. Are you sure it isn't something else?"

"Yes. He just aggravates me," Hermione stated with resolve before disappearing into one of the many rooms, away from Remus.

Ah, he thought. Young love.

A/N: Written for King of all Loser's "Bad Summary Challenge," which was bloody brillant by the way. Go check it out on HPFC! First Remus/Hermione pairing I've ever written, and as you can see, it's not romantic. I like Remus' fatherly instinct and that side of his personality. Sue me. :) Anywho, let me know what you think! Tell me what you like, what you didn't, whether you ship Remus/Hermione as a romantic couple or not, whatever enters your mind, I'd love to hear it! (or read it...)

Much love, Sadie
