Author's Note

This is just a short story, poem, or whatever you want to call it I made to show how I think Chiro thinks about his life before and after he meant the Hyper Force. It seems a bit sad, but I didn't even feel sad while writing it. Oh well, life's a mystery. Please, enjoy!

I had a family once……

They were nice, kind, and loving people.

They never hurt others,

Never disobeyed the rules set on us Shugazoomians,

Or broke promises.

I had a family once,

They cared for me like real parents should have,

And taught me so much;

And I loved them.

But I guess everything in the universe never wants me to be happy.

I still remember the look on their faces when they rushed into my room and saved me from the falling roof,

Their terrified expressions as they saw no way out.

Is still remember the burning sensation my skin felt as we ran throughout the house;

Dodging the evil angry yellow flames that wanted to take our lives.

I still remember the moon's calming bright light that shined through a small window as if it knew I seeked a safe passage.

I had a family once,

And as years past by,

I never forgot their scared faces and agonizing screams when sad clear tears blurred my vision of my sorrowful eyes.

I was soon adopted into a family that seemed nice at first,

But never judge anyone the first day,

For you'll be in a world of hurt.

They tried to make me their slave,

But the curse of mine must have rubbed off as their dead bodies littered the ground before me.

I never clearly remembered what happened,

Just a strange sensation that overflowed me when my god parents formed into these black and white things,

And tried to grab me.

Of course on one could explain it,

And I was up for adoption once more.

More years went by and I was finally thirteen;

The age everyone here at the orphanage longed to be.

However, I never was happy.

Every adult that entered studied me before quickly going to the next child in line.

Was my curse this bad?

I had a family once,

That would have protected me from the bullies.

I ran deep into the Savage Lands;

Never looking back.

A large metal machine stopped my thoughts,

As if I could hear someone calling me,

Begging me to enter.

I had a family once,

That would give me advice if I should be leader or not;

But the thought if being alone scared me,

So I accepted.

I went back and returned to the city with my new team,

We saved it many times,

And I've grown quite attached to them;

They were my friends,

The only ones that were there for me when no one else was.

I had a family once,

And as I walk down the street,

People ask me if I had a family.

I opened my mouth to answer no;

But changed my words around quickly.

Yes, I do have a family;

And even though they are different from me,

I love them,

As it should be.

This poem or short story says that no matter who you are or how your life is, you'll have loved ones that are there for you no matter who or how you or they look.=)
