Teddy's Lullaby
Remus leaned over Teddy's crib, his eyes full of love and happiness. He leaned down and kissed Teddy on the forehead, before going to sit on the rocking chair beside the wooden crib. He took his guitar and strummed a couple of notes, his voice gentle as he sang.
Oh my dearest Teddy boy,
You assured me never-ending joy, oh boy.
Close your eyes don't watch the sky,
Fall asleep to this lullaby, my boy.
When you wake I will be there,
To make sure life is more than fair, oh boy.

Teddy opened his little mouth and gave a small yawn, his eyes began to droop shut as his father sung.

Tonks quietly walked into the room, she leaned over the crib and tucked Teddy in more securely, gently touching his face. She leaned on the back of Remus' chair and sang the last of the lyrics with him.

Tonks kissed Remus on top of his head, pulling the guitar from his hands. "It's time to go."
Remus sighed, getting up from his head and looking into the crib. 'I just don't want to leave him."
"Me neither."
Teddy leaned back against the soft pillows of his bed, a golden music box held tightly in his grasp. Tears ran down his face, at the memory he didn't even know was real. "I didn't want you to leave either." He whispered, hugging the box tightly and pressing his face into the pillow he fell asleep dreaming of his parents, and the lives they could have had.
