Percy Jackson and The New Kid

Olympus was saved, that was it, right? wrong, someone new pops into Percy's life and with that beginning a new adventure, who said being a hero was a one-time thing, events non-cannon and features an OC Character, a lot of team bonding in the chapters

1. I saw a Minotaur with laser beams

So this idea came to me whilst I was daydreaming, in this story, Percy meets someone who is exactly like him, stubborn, quick-witted, loyal, powerful, a scene in his high school leads to revelations and new adventures, events are non-canonical and take place after the Last Olympian. First few chapters are about team building

Also, it has been a while since I last read the first series so book fanatics put your pitchforks down, I will do my best so the characters match

Percy woke up to what he thought was an ordinary day, even if every day was even ordinary after he had saved all of Olympus, he would love to walk into Camp Half-Blood to the cheers of his fellow campers and their applause, and Annabeth, he would almost love to see her, her blond curls being tugged by the wind whilst on the piers always made her heart skip, her face smiling made any bad day instantly better, And Grover, they played Call of Duty over in his house during the evenings, Annabeth, Thalia and some of the other campers would join him in his Cabin and play for the rest of the afternoon, Rachel and Nico would often visit him during his stay

He started the day in a really happy mood, his mother was with someone who actually treated her as a person and genuinely loved her, Paul was a kind man, always making sure she was alright, he was always ready to talk, Percy even held a conversation about fish for 30 minutes before Sally told him he was going to be late, He hastily waved goodbye to Paul before getting out of the house to a warm sunny morning, he walked up the street before seeing Grover

Percy: "Hey Grover!"

Grover: "Man you have to not sneak up on me like that"

Percy: "I thought you could sense me, you know like a few feet before I said hello"

Grover: "It doesn't work that way"

Percy: "Are you kidding me? anyway excited about going back?"

Grover: "Yeah, It's always the best part of the summer"

Percy: "Gotta get through the last day of school"

Grover: "Come on Perce, it's just a day, you've been going here for the last year"

Percy: "I know but I'm just so excited!"

Grover: "Come on, you'll see Annabeth later on too, I know you've been thinking of her"

Percy laughed at that comment and they headed on to their high school

The School day started normally as it would, he was in his Physics class when he was dreaming about what he was going to do in Camp Half-Blood before going into a daydreamy state

"Earth to Percy, CLAP"

Percy jolted to the noise, his classmate smirking at his reaction, He calmed down seeing who it was, His name was Kianannen, Kiannen Taylor, Percy called him Kian for short, he spoke in a British accent, has jet black hair which was corse and came down from the right side of his head, he stands at 6ft 3in one of the tallest in the class and maybe even in the school Percy thought to himself, he was one of the smartest guys Percy knew, Athena would be proud of his intelligence Percy thought, he made a keynote to never tell Annabeth how smart he was, he had light brown skin almost close to a tan, and defined brown eyes

Mr. Jones: "Can anyone tell me what the effect of a Black Hole?"

Kian raised his hand, He answers "The fabric of space-time is affected causing gravity to be really high, large enough to suck up a star, and dilate time"

Mr. Jones: "Very good Kian, maybe one of you will go to MIT"

He always hated when he said that, it made him feel useless, even after saving Olympus, it didn't feel so bad but it still felt bad, he could even see it on Kian's face, he didn't like it when Mr. Jones said that

Percy: "You do realize that's a compliment right?"

Kian: "I know, but it's not just my intelligence that defines who I am"

Percy: "I would kill to get your brains"

Kian: "Percy, just take your time to understand the stuff, then you'd see this isn't about brains"

The two then decided to do the class exercises that Mr. Jones set them

Whilst he was doing it, something hit Kian on the back of the head barely contacting him, he turned too see Jake Pine, the jock he called him, he was making gestures that he was sure meant he was going to beat him up, he smirked at that and went back to his work much to the dismay of Jake

The bell rang and Percy and Kian walked out of the class

Percy: "You doing something over the weekend?"

Kian: "Other than watching random youtube videos not much how about you?"

Percy: "Grover and I are playing in a tournament, loads of people are going to be there"

Kian: "Sounds fun, what's the tournament about?"

Percy: "We're just playing Mario Kart"

Kian: "I used to play it all the time when I was a kid, it's a classic"

Percy: "It's shame we can't take in more people, you would be amazing at it"

Kian: "It's your loss, I'll see you at lunch..!"

Kian then is shoved against a locker by Jake and his gang, Jake is trying to be intimidating but when he is an inch below Kian's height it's hard to assert dominance

Kian: "Jakey, how nice to meet you, and here I thought you were trying to be extra nice to me"

Percy tries to help him before Kian tells him to stand down

Jake: "I thought I told you to stop showing me up!"

Kian: "It doesn't take that much to show you up"

Jake: "A comedian huh, after, I put my fist in your face you won't be talking, give me your homework"

Kian: "What?"

Jake: "Homework, the one Mr. Jones set 2 days from now"

Kian: "Look, man, It's not that hard to do"

Jake: "Give it to me or I punch you!"

Kian: "Go ahead, do it, I've taken plenty of punches before"

Jake angrily tries to punch him but his fist doesn't move an inch from the start, he tries but he can't, Percy can swear Kian's eyes turned purple but he thinks it's the side effects of the River Styx

Kian: "I thought you were gonna punch me? how useless, can't even follow through with a threat!"

Kian pushes him out in front with his index finger, He then joins Percy

Percy: "Man you must have nerves of steel"

Kian: "I don't know when you faced bigger guys in a martial arts tournament you tend to realize size isn't everything, hell even a smaller guy took me down in around, I was so embarrassed"

Percy only knew Kian because he was a student in his high school, he came from England, he was put right next to Percy, the two then sat next to each other for a year becoming good friends and even met Grover too, Kina described his facial hair as somewhat lacking but not lost causing Percy to laugh

Kian was having his lunch in the school cafeteria, a few girls passed him, he swore one of them looked but he gave it no thought, Percy and Grover sat next to him

Kian: "I thought you got lost or something"

Percy: "In a school, maybe"

Grover: "Is it true you faced down Jake Pine?"

Kian: "Less of a face down and more like a mild annoyance"

Percy: "He had nerves of steel I'm telling you, no one can stress him out"

Grover: "We could have used him when Nancy Bobofit was torturing us"

Kian: "That's a stupid name"

Percy: "Exactly"

Kian: "Who is this person?"

Grover: "A girl that used to throw food at me and get Percy into trouble"

Percy: "Glad we left that place"

Kian: "Now you have to deal with a blonde 6ft 2in football jock!"

Percy: "I liked Yancy Academy"

Kian: "Let me guess because of the water?"

Grover: "How did you know?"

Kian: "You doodle ocean waves when you aren't paying attention, you did it enough times to realize it's something you like, Yancy Academy was a boarding school and those are normally next to lakes, although I thought you just liked drawing water until Grover confirmed it"

Grover and Percy look shocked and impressed, Kian looks on in a smirk

Percy: "You really are smart, maybe even smarter than Annabeth"

Grover: "Don't say that, her mom might get angry?"

Kian: "Who's Annabeth?"

Percy: "It's no one"

Kian looks sharply, going over Percy's blushed cheeks, hurried eyes and his hands going over the back of his head

Kian: "Either tell me or let me have me tell you who she is"

Grover and Percy then look at each other and agree, giving in to Kian's request

Percy: "She's my girlfriend"

Kian: "Oh, of course, she must make you really happy"

Percy: "Yeah she does"

Kian: "That's great, it's always nice to see people happy"

Grover: "Yeah it is"

Lunch and school had finished and Percy was walking the corridors home, the corridors were quiet and calm since Percy left a little later, even more than usual, he walked thinking to himself how much fun he would have and seeing Annabeth again, he walked calmly for a few seconds before being thrown back into the lockers, he looked up to see what he could describe as a three-headed minotaur, one with a robotic head and metallic parts in his chest, Percy exclaims, "Oh my Gods" he says before he grabs Riptide and begins to fight the monster dodging his grabs and then getting hit by the laser of the metal headed minotaur, he lands in the bathroom thankfully empty, he shoots streams of water at the monster before he runs through them and throws Percy outside, he conveniently lands next to a fountain, Percy goes to shoot him with water before seeing the water move on its own and flowing into the legs of tmonster essentially freezing him in place, he then hears a sound and sees someone in black and blue armor land in front of him, the helmet allowing the long blonde hair to flow freely which is combed up and to the side, he sees a red slits on the chest of this person, he runs and stabs the monster with a sword that Percy sees come out of thin air, the monster then dissipates into the air dropping his metal parts

Percy looks in shock at who this is, the armored person collects the metal stuff and puts his hand on it, Percy can see his amour flow into the material and absorb it

"Peter analyze the material, this is the third case of this happening across the planet, something is wrong, very wrong"

Percy gets up and speaks out

Percy: "Who are you?"

The armored man then looks at him, "Okay here's where it's going to get complicated", his helmet smoothly comes off, the particles of his amour unraveling, revealing Kiannen

Percy: "What... who.. what just happened?!"

Grover comes charging out of the door, looking worried and in relief when he finds Percy, oblivious to Kiannnen in his amour

Grover: "What happened?"

Percy: "Never mind me, Kian why are you wearing that armor"

Kian: "This is my warsuit, I designed it myself, it's what I use to fight threats across the universe

Percy: "What?!"

Kian: "Okay, so this is going to be hard to explain.. wait, Percy, you're hurt"

Percy: "No worries let me just move my AAAAR okay not going to happen"

Kian: "You need the water to heal, don't you?"

Kian manipulates the water to Percy's arm, Percy then uses it to heal himself

Grover: "How can you do that?"

Kian: "I'll explain later, is his arm okay?"

Grover: "He arm is fine, he's in bad shape though, it's like he's being thrown through a few walls"

Percy: "We have to go to the camp"

Grover: "Kian can't go"

Kian: *with a heavy sigh* "Yeah I can"

Percy: "What are you part god now?"

Kian: "Well Zeus, Posiden, Hermes, and Heapshaues boost my power so partly yeah"

Percy: "WHAT?, EXPLAIN NOW"

Kian: "I will on the way, let's go"

Percy, Kian, and Grover are riding Sally Jackson's car, Percy is nursing his hurt arm and Grover is in the driver's seat driving, Percy is in the front passenger seat whilst Kian is in the back.

Percy: "So you're an alien?"

Kian: "Yes, but I look human"

Grover: "So how did you know how to beat the monster that attacked Percy?"

Kian: "Years and Years worth of training"

Percy: "You don't look old"

Kian: "I trained in martial arts since I was a child, I learned my other skills through practice over the last 7 years"

Grover: "You said you're an alien, where are you from?"

Kian: "Earth, my parents are the aliens"

Percy: "You got any other secrets we should know?"

Kian: "In a nutshell, I'm super strong and I have mind powers"

Percy: "How strong are you"

Kian: "I broke a black hole by flexing too hard"

Percy: "That explains why you weren't afraid of Jake Pine"

Kian: "Partly"

Grover: "So you have powers? anything else"

Kian: "Oh loads, I can control the cosmic energy of space, manipulate reality, manipulate fields, control time, control of space"

Grover: "So you're a god?"

Kian: "Being a god is making people believe you are, I'm no god, just born with power"

Percy: "Zeus might be jealous of you, all that power and it's not with him"

Kian: "Well absolute power isn't what it's cracked up to be, I can tell"

Percy: "You said you can change reality how?"

Kian: "Anything I see I can change, a tree into string clouds, etc"

Percy: "Can you give us an example"

Kian causes Grover's hands to be made of spaghetti, surprising him and causing Percy to laugh, he changes it back to normal

Kian: "Like that"

Grover: "What about your armor?, it's way more futuristic than what we have"

Kian: "I made it myself when I was a 10 year old, I had some of my teachers help"

Percy: "Hepashetus would be proud of you"

Grover: "If they don't decide to blast him"

Percy: "You said that the gods grant you power?"

Kian: "They boost my power to amazing limits, they gave me their power to stop otherworldy threats"

Percy: "Like what?"

Kian: "Well I stopped an intergalactic warlord from obtaining an artifact which would allow him omnipotence"

Grover: "Perce we are here"

The trio then get out of the car and walk to the gate of Camp Half-Blood, Percy and Grover are still in their high school clothes, Kian is in a black jacket with denim trousers

Percy: "Can you see through the mist?"

Kian: "Yeah, I should"

Grover: "You see the gate?"

Kian: "The one that looks like it's being put here many years ago, yeah"

Percy: "Good, now to work out how to get through the barrier"

Kian: "I've met many gods over my adventures, this barrier is simple to overcome"

Kian's eyes go purple and the barrier phases in and out of existence

Percy: "What did you do?"

Kian: "I made it so I could go through it if the power of the gods was not enough"

Grover: "We're gonna have a hard time explaining this to Chiron"

The trio then walk through the gate, the campers reacted in mass to the arrival of Percy, cheering, Kian tried to not look too out of place, many people came to say hello to the duo, the campers even wondered who Kian's godly parent was, Kian felt as if he was an imposter in this place, he followed Percy all the way to the place where Chiron is

Kian saw Mr. Chiron reading a book, he was initially surprised at his centaur-like appearance but seemingly understood the quirks of this place

Chiron: "Percy how wonderful to see you, Grover you too and I see you've brought another demigod here amazing!"

Percy: "Well you see he isn't exactly a demigod"

Chiron looks in surprise, Kian moves to talk

Kian: "Well the gods do boost my power"

Chiron: "Well this seems like quite a predicament"

Kian: "Our worlds are in danger, there's something threatening the existence of your pantheon"

Chiron: "What do you mean?"

Kian: "A few hours ago, a two-headed cybernetic minotaur attacked Percy, I stopped the monster but he was one of the three attacks that have been done in the past 6 months"

Grover: "That doesn't seem so bad"

Kian: "There shouldn't any attacks like this"

Chiron: "So how are you involved in this.."

Kian: "My name is Kian, I'm a universal protector and someone is taking Greek mythological monsters and enhancing them beyond the abilities of regular humans"

Chiron: "My that is interesting"

Kian: "Percy was one of the victims of the attack he needs immediate medical attention right now"

Chiron: "Why didn't you start off with that, let's go to the infirmary right now!"

Percy is being treated for his wounds by Chiron, he is lying on a bed with his shirt off, he has a few bruises and cuts on his chest that have dried up, the color dark red, Grover and Kian are standing around the centaur and demigod

Grover: "What did you mean by universal protector?"

Kian: "Exactly what it says"

Grover: "Must be fun"

Kian: "Oh it is, I worked with a team for the last 7 years, we have a lot of memories of our adventures"

Grover: "What happened?"

Kian: "I wanted to go Solo for a while, wanted to see what it was like, been six months since I last saw them"

Grover: "You miss your team don't you?"

Kian: "I do"

Suddenly a blond girl runs into the infirmary, she is in a hurry, and she has a worried face, Kian and Grover turn to look, she goes in to hug Percy and even kisses him

Percy: "Hey Annabeth," he says groaning through the stinging of the wounds

Annabeth: "What happened to you?"

Grover: "He was attacked by a cybernetically enhanced minotaur"

Annabeth: "A what minotaur"

Kian: "A minotaur with enhanced abilities"

Annabeth: "Who are you?"

Kian: "My name is Kiannnen, people normally call me Kian, I was the one who took down the monster that attacked Percy"

Annabeth: "Thanks"

Kian: "You must be Annabeth, Percy talked about you a lot yesterday"

Annabeth: "Yes I am, so you know about us?"

Kian: "Well only after he mentioned you after telling me and these are his words do not mention she "maybe smarter than Annabeth", it was easy to read him after that"

Grover: "Come on dude"

Percy just felt like dying at that moment, Annabeth looked at Percy in annoyance and then at Kian with wonder, she stood a few inches below him staring into his deep brown eyes

Annabeth: "You defeated the monster that beat Percy, how did you do it?"

Kian: "I trapped it in place then stabbed it, it was pretty simple"

Grover: "Show her the suit"

Annabeth: "What suit?"

Kian: "Oh, you would like this"

He activates his wristwatch on his left hand, a blue liquid metallic structure flows out of the watch and forms into armor going from the feet all the way to the helmet which forms in parts which clunks in place

Annabeth: "By the gods, what is this?!" she exclaims in wonder and excitement

Kian:*through the helmet voice from now until the armor comes off* "This is my Avalon Warsuit Model 3, I made it myself, you like it?"

Annabeth: "This is like a dream, how does it work, Athena would so like you right now!"

Kian: "It's really complicated, to be honest, it uses nanotech and graphene pathways to work"

The two then banter about how it works for the next few minutes, she moves around Kian looking at parts of his advanced armor

Percy: "You saved the situation, Grover, she would have killed him if you hadn't done that"

Grover: "Yeah, I thought she would like his inventions"

Chiron: "He seems to be a nice kid, he's wise beyond his years"

Percy: "Yeah, I wonder if we should tell him"

Chiron: "Tell him what?"

Percy: "About what we are, what happened"

Grover: "If he hasn't worked it out by now"

The trio then discuss the consequences, Annabeth is still marveling over Kian's Model 3 armor

Annabeth: "What else does it have?"

Kian: "It has homing missiles, kinetic missiles, an advanced laser system, wrist-mounted guns, shoulder-mounted guns, hand blasters and chest blasters, bomb dispensers, energy cannons, it's one of the most advanced pieces of technology in this world and maybe even in this galaxy"

Annabeth: "Oh my gods, Ares would be so jealous of you right now, he would literally kill you for the suit"

Kian: "Only works on me I'm afraid, It also has an A.I that controls a lot of the functions of the suit"

Annabeth: "A.I?"

Kian: "You know artificial intelligence?"

Annabeth: "I know that how does that work?"

Kian: "I say something I want to say and the A.I does it?"

Annabeth: "Can I see an example?"

Kian: "Peter take the helmet down"

Peter AI: "Yes sir"

The Helmet dematerializes back into the suit

Annabeth: "That's amazing, maybe you are smarter than me"

Kian: "Maybe, that isn't what it's all about is it?"

Chiron, Percy, and Grover then walk up to the duo

Percy: "Glad to know you two are having fun"

Kian: "Yeah, it's always nice to see people take an interest in new tech"

Percy: "I'm afraid I haven't been truthful to you either?"

Kian: "Hmm, how so?"

Percy: "This place, it's for special people, people who are half-god"

Kian: "That explains all the mythological items"

Percy: "I'm one of them, a demigod my dad is Posiden"

Kian takes a moment to think and then looks at Percy

Kian: "That explains so much, the love of water"

Percy: "Yes"

Kian: "It's not that much of a truth when I know the gods exist"

Grover: "You do?"

Annabeth: "He does?!"

Kian: "Didn't I tell you that some of your Greek pantheon boosts my power"

Percy: "Well, us three saved Olympus last summer from a dead Titan, Kronos"

Kian: "You think having the power of time would make it easier to win but you could be wrong"

Chiron: "It also explains why you weren't freaked out when you saw me"

Kian: "I've seen plenty of strange stuff, that was the least of my worries, so this place is for the demigods, the children of the gods, neat"

Percy: "You wanna meet them, you'd get along with them"

Kian: "I don't know if I can stay, I'm not exactly like you am I?"

Annabeth: "You could join my Cabin, they would love your brain"

Kian laughs it off, he for the first time feels like he's a part of a team, he then stops suddenly sensing something

Kian: "Something's wrong"

As he says that he can hear screaming, the trio then go outside and see the Ares Cabin fighting a humanoid figure, he is tall and has long brown hair swept from the right side, he is taking out multiple fighters from the Ares Cabin, Clarisse tries fighting him but she is easily tossed aside, he has rounded specs on his face, he cackles in delight as he beats down multiple fighters

"Where art thou hero?, the one who calls himself Silverfang!, come out and fight me!"

Kian looks in horror as he sees people similar to his age get hurt, he didn't want this to happen but he had to fight him, to finish what he started before

Percy: "Who is he?!"

Kian: "Someone who I fought a while ago, he was the warlord that I stopped, he wants revenge ever since"

Annabeth: "How did he find you? and how did he get inside?!"

Kian: "He tracked my DNA, he must have manipulated my charm I put on the gate, I have to kill him right here!"

Grover: "You can't do that, he just took out all of Ares Cabin without breaking a sweat"

Kian: "I've beaten him before, I can do it again"

Annabeth: "Silverfang, is that your name?"

Kian: "It was, take everyone that Auras has injured to their cabin"

He then flew up causing a shockwave which caused Grover, Percy, and Annabeth to be blown back slightly

Auras: "Come out wherever you are Silverfang!"

Silverfang: "I'm right here!"

Everyone looked up to see Kian floating above Auras, he had violet eyes and was gently floating downwards to see Auras

Auras: "Finally I thought you weren't here"

Kian: "Why are you doing this?!"

Auras: "It's fun killing weak things, and besides we have a grudge to settle"

Kian: "I thought I trapped you forever in the orbit of Avarga"

Auras: "That's the thing Kian, you should never trap your greatest opponent"

Kian: "I should have killed you then and there, why did you come here?"

Auras: "I tracked your DNA, arrived here a few minutes ago, demanded to know where you were and no one answered so I killed a few of them!"

Kian's eyes glow red in anger, he knows he can bring them back but he regrets putting them in harm's way

Kian: "I'm going to kill you for that"

Auras: "You will try, but it will be me that will take your life!"

With that Auras rushes in throwing a punch to Kian's face, he hits Kian right in the face releasing shockwaves as it hits his left cheek but it doesn't do anything, Kian smirks and kicks him in the stomach instantly knocking the air out him, he then grabs his outstretched arm and throws him backwards, he creates a wall of light as he impacts the light construct, the rest of the Camp looks in as they fight, Auras gets up and summons a sword from the ground, he rushes in swinging wildly, Kian dodges effortlessly as he hovers beyond each slice, he duplicates himself and manages to slice through the jacket that Kian is wearing, it cuts into his shirt visibly annoying him, he hastily takes of his jacket and does a few finger movements and outstretches his arms, he casts two mandala shields, Auras runs in trying to slash at him, Kian blocks each slice with his shield, Auras duplicates himself and tries again but he fights two of them at the same time, he manages to take out the duplicate by blasting him with magic, Kian grabs the sword arm but Auras kicks him in the groin and manages to kick him into another wall, Kian recovers and stops before he hits it having his arms crossed as he stops, he catches Auras with a clothesline and sends him flying back, Auras lands and gets back, Kian then rushes towards him beggining a brawl, they match blow for blow, Kian blasts Auras with a suprise blast sending him skidding to an armoury, Auras grabs two swords and rushes back into attack, Kian then conjurs his hilt, he activates it and a bow construct forms, Auras attacks him but Kian using the bow as a melee weapon as well as a shooting weapon blocks his attacks, he conjurs arrows and plants Auras in place as he shoots him in his legs, Kian then punches him in his face taking him out of the fight. He then grabs him by the collar and interrogates him, his hilt gone

Kian: "How did you escape?!"

Auras: "You wouldn't even believe me"

Kian then uses his telepathy and sees something that horrifies him, he drops him in shock

Auras: "I told you" he laughs manically

Kian then without any emotion looking opens his right palm

Kian: "Vanish"

Auras's face changes from a maniacal laugh to horror as he is wiped from existence, he slowly turns into ash

Kian looks in shock over the seaside, he is breathing heavily, what he saw shocked him to his core, he turns to look at the sunset

Percy, Grover, and Annabeth run to meet him

Percy: "What happened?"
