Destruction…
Death…
Misery…
These are the only remnants of a once great and proud people. A people whose culture now rested solely in one being, the last Shinobi. This last Shinobi is the last of his kind as the rest fell long ago to a war that raged across the world between two factions. On one side, there was a madman who thought that true peace could be brought about through an eternal illusion; on the other, a man who believed that peace is brought about through understanding one another.
These two men fought and, with each blow, tore their world asunder. The eternal black flames of hell raged, the scars gouged into the earth, destruction caused by the warring of these two men, these two demons. After a battle unlike any other, only one stood standing as the other left the world of the living leaving only a cursed truth behind…
"You may have defeated me but where is your peace when there is no one left alive but you," whispered the madman with his dying breath as the life seeped out of his eyes, never to return.
That has brought us to where we are now, with the last remnant of the Shinobi people. He stands out on a cliff in a country whose name he had never bothered to learn. On the ground beneath him, drawn in the dirt, were various symbols whose purpose is only known to the last remaining Shinobi.
"I guess that it's time to go huh, the only things still remaining here are the scars of the past and memories better left forgotten" the man stated to himself.
"Naruto"
"What is it Kurama" Asked the now identified Naruto.
"Let us go. It is better for us to leave now. There is nothing left for us here" Stated Kurama.
"You know, I was really hoping that it wouldn't come to this. I spent the last ten years searching and hoping that we would find someone, anyone that was still alive. However, it seems that we truly are the last ones left. At least I still have you Kurama. Come on, let's leave this disgusting place" intoned Naruto as he activated the symbols on the ground.
As the symbols were activated they glowed with an eerie blue light that encompassed everything, including Naruto.
