Stories were probably the only thing keeping her sane. She's always believed in supernatural creatures, legends and folklore. Actually, she wanted to believe in them, real world with only people in it was boring and depressing.
Today she ran away from home once again. It was winter time, snow was clustering on the ground, each snowflake was as big as a cornflake and it already covered all of her hair.
Suffice it to say it was freezing. The clock has struck midnight, but no one cared she was out there alone. Mother was sound asleep, wouldn't care even if she had been awake, stepfather yelled at her again and blamed her for everything and now was asleep as well.
Friends at school turned their backs to her. The rumors they started to spread weren't true, but were pretty hurtful.
She didn't run far, she couldn't see anything for the tears in her eyes. She fell down on her knees, darkness surrounding her.

Pitch was in this town. Jack could feel him. Along with Sandman they were trying to find him. Each went different way, so they would find him sooner. Jack spotted him near some big rock.
"Pitch!" he yelled and raised his staff. He didn't know yet what he was going to do, but he was hoping Sandy would hear him and come help.
Pitch didn't have time for this. He just found a perfect someone to scare the hell out of. He knew the girl was losing her consciousness because of the cold and he was prepared to show her what nightmare really is.

Suddenly she heard a nearby voice. It didn't belong to anyone she knew, but she looked anyway. There was a boy standing under a post lamp, the only post lamp still being lit up. He only had a hoodie and he was barefoot! He was also holding a weird wooden stick, but that was the last thing on her mind.
She could suddenly feel the presence of two beings, didn't know who was the other one, but he was there.
Her hands fell numb from the cold next to her to the ground and she could feel she was losing control over her own body.
She looked at the boy again. "Aren't you cold?" she asked, fainting before getting any kind of response.

A/N: I know it's short, this was just a short briefing into what you might expect, next chapters will have much more of everything. Although I don't know what direction I want to go with this, so if you have any ideas, please post them, I will be more than happy to read them. Also I could use a proofreader if anyone's up for it. The chapters might be written on an irregular base though.
