Mr. Brightside
The warm morning sun was unwelcome to Isa's marine eyes. He didn't feel like getting up. He was still
depressed over what had happened between that bastard redhead and the love of his life.
"Isa, you're a grown man. Stop acting like a hormonal teenager and get the hell out of bed. This is no reason to waste your day, wallowing in your self-pity, self-disgust, and self-hatred."
'Shut up, conscience.' Isa thought as he rolled over under his sapphire-colored covers.
"It's too nice a day for the world to see your stupid, depressing face, Isa." His inner demon said.
'You're right.' Isa thought as his face sank into his pillow.
"Don't let him talk to you like that, Isa. You get your ass out of bed and start the morning!"
Isa rolled over again, examining the digital alarm clock that he hasn't used since the horrible 'incident'. It read 8:16. "Why even bother?" He was speaking aloud now. Nobody lived in the house to hear him battling his subconscious.
"You can't let this ruin your life!"
"Says you. Isa, you're never gonna get that girl. She doesn't love you and she never will. You just hurt that Lea, the one that she loves. Y'know, pass all 'a your hurt onto him, since he caused this."/b
"You're right. I should do that."
"Isa, no! Lea and Reá are your best friends! Yeah you loved Reá, and she got with Lea, but life goes on!"
"But...I love Reá. And Lea is the only obstacle in my way. I'm supposed to overpower all obstacles in my way. If I eliminate Lea, without Reá knowing I did it, I can have her all to myself, Lea will be gone forever to never again interfere, and I'll finally get the happiness I've been looking for."
"That's the spirit, Isa!"/b
"Isa, don't give in! What about all those plans the three of you made, huh? How will you carry that out without Lea in the picture?"
"I'll just kill him after we achieve our goal."
"Isa, you're a natural!
"Isa, you know damn well you don't want to do this!"
"Isa, think. It's Reá we're talking about!"
Isa laid in his bed and pondered at the possibilities. What will he choose?
