A/N: Just a thought that occurred to me when watching High School Musical 2, during the baseball game and the 'I Don't Dance' number . Enjoy.
Disclaimer- I don't own High School MusicalHe Doesn't Dance
The girls cheered as they watched the last part of the staff baseball game. The Wild Cats against Ryan – the second half of the Evans twins. The nicer of the Evans twins if truth were told.
Gabriella had invited him along to the baseball game after Troy had ditched the Wild Cats to play basketball with the Red Hawks. Ryan had been more than happy to join them.
Chad wasn't.
"I don't dance."
Chad had told Ryan before the game and had spent most of the game stating this fact. He, Chad Danforth, did not dance. Could not. Did not.
He was a basketball player; not a dancer.
"You don't think dancing takes some game?"
Ryan had, therefore, thrown down the gauntlet.
Both lads eyed each other; waiting for the next moment and the pitch that would follow. Ryan brought back his arm and let the ball loose.
Taylor and Gabriella cheered as Chad smacked the ball with his bat and watched the ball fly. He took off like a shot, while Ryan started barking instructions at his team, pointing at various people, indicating where to throw to catch Chad out.
The ball though the air again; racing against Chad around the pitch
"For someone who claims that he can't dance," Gabriella giggled as he skidded over the last post and Ryan tripped over him, trying to reach for the ball. "Chad's doing a darn good job."
Taylor just smirked.
