"Greetings, my name is Jatia of House Kyther, a Djinn Historian on the plane of Ndiron. It is with great pride that I announce that I have been chosen by the Ziglutezeea High Council to write down the story of Vizmenzit Razelark and this plane's creation. For eons this has been a story told only through word of mouth, but progress is progress, and we must not let these stories die."
Vizmenzit Razelark, an Izzet guildmage, was worried. He'd been a member of the guild for a long time, rising through its ranks, and he could see that the guild couldn't last forever, he saw the clashes between his guild and the Azorius, and he wanted to do something amazing, something that could effectively make the Izzet League and its research and innovations immortal . He knew that there were other planes of existence out there, planes that could be visited by beings who had the gift–the gift of planeswalking, He also knew that these beings could create their own planes. This is what he wanted to do – create an entire plane based on Izzet ideas and technologies. However, there was a problem – he wasn't a planeswalker. He had spoken to one before, a human by the name of Jace Beleren. The Planeswalker had told him about these planes and the space between them, known as the Blind Eternities. He also told Vizmenzit about the planeswalker spark, born inside a person and revealing itself only under extreme circumstances, like a near-death experience. This gave Vizmenzit hope, there was still a chance he could be a planeswalker.
Vizmenzit Razelark was in the undercity of Ravnica, deep in the hot, loud Izzet boilerworks, trying to fix a pipe that was under critical pressure when it happened. There was an explosion, and Vizmenzit was thrown backwards by it. He suddenly found himself somewhere else. It was unlike any place he'd ever been, and he'd explored a lot of the huge and extremely diverse city of Ravnica, so that was saying something. (The details in this next section are highly controversial, no one except Planeswalkers truly know what the Blind Eternities actually look like, however this is the most commonly accepted theory) It was a void and yet he felt solid ground beneath his feet. He was walking, but he wasn't going anywhere. All he could see were colors. White, green, blue, black, red, and another color, one that could only be described as having no color at all. He couldn't help but notice that the strands of the red and blue in this mass of colors were separating themselves, becoming more clear to him. And then he understood. The colors that were flowing around was mana in its purest form, and the only place that this form of mana could be found was the Blind Eternities, the space between worlds, that Jace had told him about. He was planeswalking!
Vizmenzit Razelark was there, walking through the void that is the Blind Eternities when he remembered what he had to do – he had to create a plane that reflected Izzet ideas and glory – a plane of libraries and science labs, a plane of steam vents, mountains, and islands, a plane populated by beings known and favored by the Izzet, dragons and elementals, weirds and djinn.
Vizmenzit Razelark did this, twisting and manipulating the mana, first into the land, and then into the creatures. When this was done, he left, leaving these creatures, our ancestors to carry out experiments, and do research, and live their lives. Vizmenzit Razelark then returned to Ravnica, happy, because the creatures of his plane would continue to carry out the progress of the Izzet League. This has been the story of the creation of a plane, the plane known as Ndiron, the plane where we live today.
" It is said that Vizmenzit Razelark has tried to return to Ndiron, but due to the semi-randomness of planeswalking, he has never been able to." - Jatia Kyther
