Refresher
Sharpay took a deep breath. It was so refreshing to get out of her house. Her parents were fighting again; over what something stupid she was sure. Ryan wasn't home, her twin having gone to Gabriella's house to work on a project an hour or two before. Now was the perfect time to try and get her mind off of things. Tilting her head up, the pretty blonde looked up at the night sky. It was so pretty out with the stars clearly visible.
"Hey!"
Sharpay jumped at the sound of the voice, the blonde turned hastily and stood as though preparing to attack. She visible sighed in relief upon seeing him.
"What are you doing out here Troy? You scared me." She asked, glaring at him.
Troy smiled, "I could ask you the same thing. I was out on a walk. You?"
Sharpay sighed, "Just walking around and looking at the stars."
He nodded; "the stars are pretty tonight. Do you mind if I walk with you?"
Brown eyes stared hard at him, half expecting him to laugh her Sharpay shrugged. "If you want."
She continued on, Troy matching her pace in silence. The pair not wanting to talk more then they really had too. They may have just been friendly moments before but that didn't make up for the hostility they had had for years. To Troy's surprise Sharpay had lead them to the local park.
"What are we doing here?"
Brown eyes snapped in his direction. "It helps me think."
He shrugged and said nothing more as the pair walked into the dark park. Streetlights scattered around but it was still pretty dark. The Wildcats captain followed the blonde as she made her way down the paths, stopping in front of the town's lake. He didn't say anything as she sat down, her knees drawn up to her chest.
The starlight reflected from the lake water, reflecting on her pale skin. For the first time Troy Bolton noticed that she wasn't wearing any make-up. Under the light of the stars it made her that more beautiful. He couldn't help but sit closer then he had intended.
Sharpay turned her head in Troy's direction, "Move over Troy."
He didn't say anything; blue eyes pinned on her. Rolling her eyes, Sharpay waved her hand in front of his face. "Didn't you hear me? I said-"
In an instant his lips pressed against hers, brown eyes widened in surprise. She never would have expected Troy Bolton to try and kiss her, ever. As quickly as his lips had touched hers they were gone. Sharpay blinked, her hand moving up to touch her lips.
"What was that for?"
Troy smiled charmingly, his hand moved out to move some of her blonde hair behind her ear. "You looked too beautiful under the starlight to not kiss."
She blushed and stared out at the lake, a smile on her face as Troy wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close. Sharpay closed her eyes, leaning her head against his shoulder. Maybe now the rest of her evening wouldn't go wrong. She silently thanked the stars for giving her the refresher she needed by running into Troy.
