Cat sat waiting in her office for Kara, her assistant, whom she called Kera. She wanted to talk to her about her son, Carter, who happened to be Karas boyfriend. Cat leaned back in her chair and chuckled silently to herself. Who would have thought that the Queen of All Media would be worried about her son and assistant going out on a date. All she knew was that if Kara ever broke her sons heart she's would make her assistants life hell for as long as she saw fit, which would probably be forever. But what if Carter broke Karas heart? No! She couldn't think like that about her son. But still if her did accidentally break Karas heart, then she would have to deal with a heartbroken assistant who would be useless in that state. She looked down at her desk. In front of her was her trusty computer. Around it were papers. Some finished. Some not. She glanced out the window of her Catco empire. She watched birds fly by the window; the lue of the sky, and the whiteness of the fluffy clouds. She turned back to see James Olson and Lucy Lane smiling affectionately at each other from across the room. She knew that those two were together. They seemed so in love. She'd seen the same looks on Carter and Karas faces. Maybe, just maybe, those two would be okay. Five minutes later, Kara and Carter walked into her office, hand in hand, smiling. "Duty calls", Kara told her boyfriend. She and Carter kissed and Cat inwardly smiled at the longingness in Karas eyes as she watched Carter go. Maybe, just maybe, those two would be okay.
