You can lose yourself in a battle. Become one with the winding wind; cloak yourself in the chaos of the fight. Let your training take over; let it order your earth-bound body to fly to new heights. May your weapon command the actions you take, your furious offense and steady defense; may it become a part of you, may it merge with you and in that moment be all.

And breathe. Never forget to breathe. Through the clashes of blades and cries of battle. Breathe. Ignore the fallen, be wary of the fighting. Breathe. For as long as you remember to breathe you remember to be centered, present, and aware. When you surrender the very act of life to the battle, you surrender everything. And in time, you will lose yourself.

Duck, spin, strike.

Block, defend, attack.

Dodge, slash, kill.

Breathe
