A wonderful gift
I knew that I was not allowed to eavesdrop on others' conversations,but that conversation was about me and my sisters and I didn't care about that rule . I stay hidden behind doors,and my mother said :
"The match between your son,Lucius, and my daughter will be wonderful".
" I agree with you,Druella " said Abraxas Malfoy.
After a moment they began to discuss about other things. I was very curious,and I decided to walk in the garden . " I wonder which one of my sisters is engaged with Lucius. Bellatrix is already engaged with Rodolphus Lestrange,so she can not marry Lucius. Andromeda... she is a perfect match:she is 16 years old and she is the middle daughter" I said to myself.
At that moment I didn't realize that I could be the future bride of Lucius. I was in love with him since I was 14 years old. He was always nice with me,but he didn't show me a real interest. I was walking with my thoughts when Lucius bring me back to reality :
" Narcissa, I was looking for you", he said ,"Would you give me the honour to accompany you in the garden?".
"Of course" I said with a large smile on my face.
Lucius was acting very strange. He seem to be very shy and I realized that he was staring at me. We were near the roses,when Lucius picked a beautiful red rose and he put it delicately in my hair. I was very surprised by his gesture.
" Now you are perfect" he said with his lovely smile.
" You are too kind,Lucius", I said and my face turned red," But I'm not perfect". "
"For me you are perfect", he said," I adore your beautiful blonde hair,your lovely blue eyes,and your gorgeous lip".
I was speechless! After a moment I said:
"Lucius,I don't think that I deserve your compliments. Andromeda should receive your compliments".
"Andromeda ?" he asked in shock " Why do you think that ? "
" I heard the conversation between your father and my mother. My mother said "the match between your son,Lucius, and my daughter will be wonderful" so I think that you are engaged with Andromeda " I said with sadness.
" I am not engaged with your sister", he said," My future wife is standing right in front of me".
" I am your future wife ?", I asked with shock," I thought that I am too young to be engaged. Lucius,my words can't describe my happiness!"
" Cissy", he said that nickname for the first time," I love you very much,and I promise that I will be a good husband!"
" And I will be a good wife,because you deserve the best",I said with emotion," I promise that I will keep this rose all my life,because it will remind me of you".
I kept my promise: that wonderful rose will always be a simbol which reminds me of my love.
