Summary: One chapter ErikMeg. Three years after the disaster, Meg stayed with Erik and he writes her a song. Based off Gerard Butlers and Jennifer Ellison's portrayal of Erik and Meg.

As the World Falls Down

Three years. It had been three years since the disaster. Three years since Christine had left. Three years since Meg found Erik.

She stayed with him; he wasn't sure why. But she did, and that was all that counted.

She could've gone back home to her mother. She could've stayed and waited for the mob to come get him. But she didn't. She stayed and kept him in safety.

She kept good care of him and his house. He felt he needed to write music again. But every time he sat down to write, he thought of Meg. He decided to write a song for her. He spent most of his time writing it, but it got finished nonetheless. He waited for the opportune moment to sing it for her. Finally, it came.

"Erik, will you sing me a song to put me to sleep?" she asked him. She was tucking herself into bed and felt that a song would be nice to hear.

"Well, you picked a good time to ask." Erik replied, grabbing a chair and pulling it beside her bed.

"Really? Why is that?" Meg asked a smile on her face.

"Because I just finished writing a song for you." Erik replied.

"For me? Just for me?" Meg asked.

"Yes." Erik replied.

"I want to hear it." Meg said. He waited a moment, but then started singing:
