AN: So, once again: I'm not dead! I seem to have hit a block with the DEC universe but I promise that I will try to finish that series as I am sure Kallian has many adventures ahead of her. In the meantime, I come with a DAII drabble! Loosely set in the DEC verse (that's progress right?)

AN2: END GAME SPOILERS

Read, Review, and Enjoy!

Vivian turned onto her back, trying to find a more comfortable position. Granted this was made rather more complicated by the snoring mage at her side, but then: everything was complicated nowadays, wasn't it?

Mother always hated Vivian's lighthearted outlook on life; told her that she needed to take things more seriously. Funny, now that she's finally taking her advice Mother's not around to see it. After all, it's a bit hard to laugh at the world when the most powerful people in it are hunting you and the man you love. Harder still when that man is a murderer. Ten times harder when that man resulted in you losing your home, your friends, and that nice statue they built you on the docks. Most would have left, would have screamed and cried and beat him until his face was unrecognizable, but Vivian's always been a sucker for brown eyes. Bastard knew it too.

Said bastard was turning over as well, brown eyes opening and a light smile on his face.

"It's hard to sleep when you have a large pregnant woman rolling all over the place."

Another complication.

Putting on a fake smile of her own Vivian looked at Anders, "Well, you're the one who's responsible for the 'large pregnant woman' so suck it up. It's not my fault that your child insists on kicking me at odd hours of the night."

"Oh, so when it's kicking it's my child, yet the second you found out we were having a baby it was your miracle."

"Woman are allowed to have double standards, it's part of our charm."

Wrapping an arm around her waist Anders smiled, "Well then, I give you and our unnamed daughter the right to roll about as you please."

"Thank you"

"Speaking of which, I was thinking that we might name her Kallian."

Vivian raised an eyebrow, "Kallian? You do realize that every Blight survivor in Thedas has a child named after the Hero of Ferelden, right?"

With a chuckle Anders pulled her in closer, "Yes, but if it wasn't for her I'd never have been able to meet you. I think that deserves some recognition, don't you?"

"I suppose, but when we finally do find her, can we use some sort of nickname for our child? Having a bunch of Kallains running about would get confusing."

"Whatever you wish my love." And with that Anders closed his eyes and succumbed to sleep once more.

Gazing at the ceiling of their temporary home Vivian sighed. Anders spoke of a world where their children would be free; placing her hand on her large belly, Vivian prayed to a Maker she wasn't sure she believed in that they would live to see it.
