A/N: Just a short (and late) Christmas fanfic because why not?
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Vampire Knight.
Vampires don't believe in holidays.
They don't believe in Valentine's Day – it's just a way for businesses to gain money.
Christmas, Thanksgiving, and everything else ranging from Halloween to Father's day are a load of crap to them.
However, that doesn't mean they don't celebrate it in their own way, mind you.
Especially with Yuuki around, Kaname celebrates these festivities that keep humans entertained when they have nothing better to do.
On Valentine's Day he took her out to eat dinner – in the end he drank her blood.
On Halloween they invited people from school – it ended up turning into a "Vampire Fest".
On Thanksgiving, Zero came back with a dead turkey in his hand – Yuuki had to clean it and Kaname had to remove its skin.
So, yes, maybe they had their failures in making parties.
And, yes, maybe Yuuki got mad at them all for being "Idiots!"
And maybe she was in charge of making a Christmas dinner, but who could stop her, really.
The day of the Christmas party, they were all forced to go downstairs – and yes, forced, because Yuuki held a silver knife in her hand as she pushed everyone down the stairs, because it was Christmas, she argued, and it was meant to be celebrated as a family, therefore they were all seated along the long, wooden table.
"Now," Yuuki began, clearing her throat and sitting down, "we pray as a family."
Kaname scoffed next to her, and Yuuki glared at him. "Sorry, but since when do vampires pray to anything other than the devil, really."
Yuuki hit him. "You guys don't worship the devil –" She stopped talking, staring at everyone. "Well, whatever, we still say thanks so shut up."
She spoke, loud and clear, and when she finished, she let go of Kaname's and Zero's hands, which gave the others the get-go to let go of each other's hands.

"That wasn't, um, so bad in the end," Kaname told Yuuki, as they walked up the stairs to their own rooms.
She went red, turned around, and smiled at him. "I'm glad you think it went well, Kaname."
As she reached her door, she paused in her tracks, and he stared at her. "What's wrong?"
She bit her lower lip, sighing, "W-wait here for a moment, will you?"
And so he waited outside of her room as she disappeared into the darkness that was her room.
After a few minutes she came out, wrapped present in hand, blush in place. "I… saw this and it reminded me of you. You can, um, open it whenever."
He stared her with a smile, "Thank you, however, we don't really –"
"I know, but… take it. It's a Christmas present, after all."
He sighed, grabbed the package in her hand, and kissed her goodnight.

He stared at the black bunny in his hand, and chuckled.
"How does this look like me?"
