Electricity between Us

Diana sighed. It had been so long and she still couldn't find the right person.

When she was little her mother always talked about attraction, chemistry, love or whatever it was called. Diana, at that time being a little kid asked her mother a question.
"How do I know if there's attraction or something between me and a boy?"
When her mother heard that question, she smiled. "Easy, when you touch, you'll feel something."
The kid Diana tilted her in confusion. "What do you mean?" She asked.
Her mother chuckled softly. "You'll know what I mean in the future."

It had been years since then and Diana had grown. She was now traveling through the Sinnoh region looking for a guy that might make her feel whatever her mother was talking about.
"I'll find that certain guy soon!" She mumbled to herself as she continued down the road that she was traveling on.

Diana finally reached the end of the road that directed her to a new destination. The destination being Sunshore City. She began walking around the city, marveling at the stuff that she had never seen in any other city.

As she was walking, she bumped into a guy and fell down.
"Sorry," The guy said as he offered his hand to her. She looked up at the guy and was met with blue eyes filled with boredom and blond spiky hair.

"Its okay," Diana replied. She took his hand and as he pulled her up, she felt something. Something that briefly passed through guy and Diana. The blond spiky hair guy also noticed , his blue eyes was now filled with interest and stared at her.
She blushed at his sudden stare,ducked her head, and quickly ran off. She eventually slowed down and was now walking.

Thoughts were running through her head. Who was that guy? Was that feeling real or was she imagining it? Could he be the one? Was this the thing that her mom always talked about?

She walked into the pokemon center and gave her pokemon to Nurse Joy. After waiting for a bit, Nurse Joy came back with her pokemon.
"Something on your mind?" Nurse Joy said as she noticed Diana's pondering look when Diana took her pokeballs. "I guess you could say that." The pokemon trainer then unknowingly went on and told the woman everything.

Nurse Joy laughed when the girl was done telling her story. "Dear, the feelings you felt must be real!"
"How do I know for sure?" Diana questioned.
"Why don't you meet the guy again and if the same thing happens again, it's a for sure. " The woman answered.
"Alright. By the way, what do you call this feeling?" Nurse Joy smiled. "Well in this city, we call it electricity."

Diana thanked the woman for answering her questions and went off to rest, hoping to meet the guy that sparked something within her again. Her wish was granted the next morning when she walked outside the pokemon center and saw the guy.
"Hey, it's you." He said.
"Yeah, sorry about yesterday." She said shyly.
"It's fine."
She realized that she hadn't introduced herself yet. "My name's Diana."
The guy nodded and responded. "My name's Volkner."
They both shook hands and while they shook hands,the same feeling briefly passed through them.

Diana smiled and while Volkner smiled back, she had one thought in her head. There was definitely electricity between us.

Bleh, this one-shot felt really stiff. Hmm...
