I wrote this for someone on Tumblr who's blog I adore and who is wonderful! Please enjoy.

Deathly silence fell over the store as Alfred looked into the eyes of the stranger. His fingers grasped onto the box of ice cream sandwiches. Smiling unnervingly, the stranger noticeably tightened his grip on the same box.

"I'm sorry sir," Alfred noted the man's thick Russian accent. "But I believe that these are mine."

Alfred smiled back and replied in a strained voice,

"I'm sorry too, sir, but I grabbed them first."

It was the last box of the double chocolate cookie dough ice cream sandwiches and Alfred wasn't about to let them slip out of his hands. No matter how intimidating or adorable the strange man was. He is pretty cute though, Alfred noticed. He resembled a teddy bear, big, cuddly and ready to kill a man over a box of ice cream. If he wasn't so fond of the treats he might've let him have them. But it was the last box so...

"Look, um, what is your name?" Alfred asked, cursing his audible hesitation.

"It is Ivan."

"Look Ivan, this is some of the best ice cream in the store but there are other kinds. Why don't you give me this box and you can find a different kind."

Laughing, Ivan shook his head. "I'm afraid that this happens to be the best kind in the store my friend. I cannot let you have it."

He had to devise a plan, and fast. Spinning gears whirled in his mind as he stood, face to face with the stranger. The evil stranger who wanted to steal his ice cream, but had the most adorable eyes. Curse him and his unintentionally charming ways.

How is anyone supposed to come up with a decent plan when there is such a distracting person in front of them. Especially when he's giggling like that and running away—wait a minute! Ivan took off down the grocery store isle, ice cream in hand.

"Get back here you criminal!" Alfred shouted as he ran after him. "Those are my sandwiches and I demand that you give them back this minute or so help me I'll—"

Alfred was so busy chasing down the stranger that he didn't notice when a security guard stepped in front of him. The two collided, sending Alfred sprawling across the floor. Ivan laughed as he continuer running to the checkout line. As Alfred stood up the security guard grabbed his arm.

"Now just wait a minute you scoundrel." The guard said in an English accent. Alfred wanted to laugh, it was like a UN meeting in the grocery store. "There's no running in the store, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave."

Alfred protested as he was lead to the door. Ivan shot him a smug smile from the checkout line. It soon turned into a frown when the security guard stopped and informed him that they were both being kicked out. There was loud complaining corm both of them, blame being thrown around and "He started it," repeated many times.

Their words fell on deaf ears however, and soon they were sitting outside on the sidewalk. Neither of them spoke right away, there wasn't much to discuss. However, Alfred still couldn't help but notice how adorable this Ivan was and decided that he wanted to spend more time with him. Without knowing what else to do he said,

"You know, they sell those sandwiches at Superstore." Ivan looked up curiously and Alfred grinned.

"I'll race you there."
