ANALOGY
A reflection on Sam & Dean's race to stop Lucifer rising.
For a while there, they were like trains passing, both travelling at high speed, in opposing directions, to the same destination. The noise was deafening, increased twofold. The buffeting of air between them shook the carriages of those caught in the crossfire. These two great forces, driven with the same purpose, momentarily coming so close, they could almost, but not quite, touch. Each held firm to their separate track, following a different route to the other, neither changing points so they might ride the same line. And after they passed, the distance between them increased, as each travelled on alone.
