Switched and Swapped

Disclaimer: I do not own Sweeney Todd or the associated characters.

It was a very normal, depressing day in Gotham. The smog in the air was particularly thick on this date, blocking the sun. It would rain soon, and a storm was coming. Harley sat and looked out the window sadly. She was so bored. Her Puddin' was always working and when she wanted companionship, he would kick her out or scream at her.

"Bored people are boring. I don't want to be around people like that." He would say sometimes. But he usually literally kicked her out of the room he was in and screamed in her face and repeated that saying.

Everyone would be in for the storm today. Even the Bat, if he knew what was good for him. Though he usually didn't.

OOOOO

Today London was gloomy and already rainy. Dark clouds loomed over the sky, signifying the weather was to act up soon. Nellie was alone in her shop, all customers hiding away in their homes. Judging by Mr. Todd's footsteps, he was pacing, which meant his shop was the same. He'd come down soon. Usually did around closing time.

She was bored out of her mind as she poured herself a glass of gin and glanced out the window. The pacing stopped and she downed her glass before tucking the bottle away where Toby couldn't find it. Rickety stairs creaked as boots stomped down them. Sweeney would be soaked when he came down- not that he would care.

The door pushed open and he walked into the shop, his hair messy and wet with rain.

"Strange things are happening, Mr. Todd." She said as a bolt of lightning crossed the sky.

She knew she wouldn't be bored now that he was down here.

There was a strange cracking noise, blinding her, and when she opened her eyes, Sweeney was gone.

OOOOO

Harley had just finished a little game with her Puddin' when the thunder started. He had finally agreed to it, so she sighed happily and went to do some chores. He came into the kitchen, where she was cleaning off the counters, probably looking for her to make him a sandwich. There was a strange noise and a white light shining brightly in her eyes. When it subsided, he was gone.

ooooo

Panic overwhelmed both of the girls. Especially when a strange man appeared in their kitchens.
