A bright, sunny day. Chickens clucking, cow mooing, and the sheep making his little sheep noises. Raiko was sweating as he worked on the land that was farthest away from his house, the biggest plot of land on the farm. He sighed as he finished the last few pieces of land.
"Well, Ill have to remember to buy some seeds from Loretta and them later.. I can't wait to grow crops"
Raiko smiled to himself. He has only been in Forget-Me-Not Valley for a few days, and he was already loving it. He had recieved a cow from Kyle, the man that also lived on the farm, and Raiko's father's best friend. Raiko could remember his first day in Forget Valley..
He came from towns past Mineral Town, and towns past those towns. From faaaaaar away. In the large, lively city. He got a letter one day that let him know that his father had passed on, and that his father's farm in Forget-Me-Not Valley was now his.
"Forget-Me-Not Valley? Where and what's that?" he remembered he asked himself.
Soon enough, Raiko was walking along to Forget Valley, with nothing but his clothing. When ge got there, he met up with his father's best friend, Kyle. Starting the farm life off by getting a tour of the farm, Raiko began to like it. Then, he was introduced to all of the people in the village.
After they got home, Kyle told Raiko it'd be best if he got married within the year. Raiko was, of course, surprised about the sudden statement of Kyle's, but he nodded bravely. There were around four girls to pick from.. Loretta, Rosey, Faith, and.. Lettuce, right? Must be her nickname, he'd have to find out her real name later.
So, Raiko had some pressure on him. He had to get married by the end of the year, with four girls to choose from.. Who would he choose? The young man wiped some sweat from his brow, and sighed again. Then, he heard small voices.
"A Harvest Sprite we've never seen before"
Raiko looked around as he heard about three small voices say that at the same time.
"Um, hello? Is someone there"
"Down here, big guy"
He blinked and looked down near his boots, and noticed that there was three small, doll-like figures before him. He knelt down and stared at them.
"I must be going crazy"
"What're you talking about"
"What's your name"
"..Raiko. Yours"
"Ray"
"Tiko"
"Oscar"
"Raiko, nice to meetcha! We hope to see ya around sometime!" The three sprites randomly ran off, and Raiko stood back up, watching them leave, waving. "That sure was weird.. Oh well, now it's time to feed the chickens.. And then the cow n' sheep.." Raiko walked into the chicken coop with a bag of bird feed in his hand. "You guys ready to eat?" The rooster and hens clucked in response, and Raiko began to throw some of the feed around on the floor of the coop, enough for the chickens to eat. "Don't fight over the food, there's enough for everyone.." The man walked out of the coop, and into the barn. "Wish, Mayu, come n' get it." He walked up to the Fodder Dispenser and put a stack of the fodder in Wish, the sheep's food bowl, and then put two stacks of fodder in Mayu, the cow's food bowl. "Okay guys, eat up." The cow eagerly went up to the fodder dish and began to eat. Raiko smile and petted Mayu's head, and then petted Wish's head as he walked out of the barn, stretching and yawning. "Aah.. Time for bed, it's getting late"
He checked his watch. 10:45 PM. "Riko!" A small, floppy-eared dog ran up to Raiko, and he smiled. "Good boy, you came! Let's getcha some dinner." The dog happily barked, and they both walked into the house. After Raiko filled his dog's bowl up with some food, he slipped under the covers in his bed, closed his eyes, and soon fell asleep.
