Chapter One
It had been almost a street fairytale, thug meets dival, they fall in love, nothing could break them apart. John Cena had never loved anyone the way he loved Julia Martin. She was his dream, everything he ever wanted and needed. She was meant for me, he believed. But seeing is believing and sometimes what you see isn't always what you want to believe...
Just as he hopped over the barricade, Christy came running down the ramp and climbed up to the apron to distracted the referee. John took that as an opportunity to slide into the ring and clothesline the hell out of Jericho. The crowd went wild as John taunted him to get up and when he did he did the FU on him. When Jericho was laid out, he pulled Julia over him and quickly slid out the ring. Christy let the referee get back to his job and watched in joy as he made the count. As his hand hit the mat for the third time the crowd cheered as Julia was announced as the winner. Julia rolled off of Jericho in pain as John came back into the ring. He made his way over to her and placed his hands on either side of her face before kissing her gently. Cheers with a mix of boos from the women in the crowd could be heard. John helped Julia to her feet and was about to carry her out of the ring when Eric Bischoff's theme music sounded through the arena. Shit, John thought as he kept his eye on Jericho making sure that he didn't get up. He didn't want Julia in the middle of them again.
" What the hell do you think your doing! How dare you interfere in the match Cena! I should have you suspended for disobeying my orders. I hope your happy Julia, because your "boyfriend" just caused himself a match next week on your behave. Next week right here on RAW it will be….John Cena versus…..Chris Jericho……and Carlito! In a Handicap match! And Julia……Your FIRED!" Bischoff yelled as John's temper fumed.
" You son of a bitch! Leave her out of this!" John yelled
" Oh there's no changing my mind, so don't even try Cena! See I realized that Miss Martin is more valuable in that ring to me than backstage. Which is why I would like to give her an alternative position. One that I think she would enjoy…..Julia, you my dear are the newest edition to the RAW locker room as a WWE Diva! But, I can't force you into it….even though it is your only other way to be in the WWE." Bischoff laughed," So what's your answer Julia?" Julia locked eyes with John before looking over to Eric, the camera closed in on her face as RAW went off.
John remembered it like it was yesterday. He had lost her in just a matter of a question, a difficult question but one that love should have answered. Julia accepted being fired and her and John stayed to together. But time and separation can be the mistress of love. A year had passed and loved faded just as fast. Julia didn't want John to choose between her and his career, even though she knew he would if he had to. But she loved him more than that. John hated that they had to part but once again tried to be friends with her. If they couldn't be lovers, perhaps friends could be enough. But once you have crossed the line of friendship, there is no turning back. In time friends turned into strangers again and Julia left John to be the great wrestler she wanted him to be. John however took a different turn. He became a work o'holic, all he did was wrestle, train, and sleep. Randy and Shane couldn't even remember the last time that he joined them at a club or partied with his friends. He seemed happy in the ring, but backstage he wasn't the same man that they all befriended...
