"Albus Dumbledore… the first words I ever heard him say were 'Nitwit, Blubber, Oddment, Tweak'. He was a man of many mysteries, but of intelligence. I knew him personally, and am glad for that gift. He was a very respected person among the Wizarding Community, and he cared about all that he came across. He wasn't the God that everyone made him out to be. He was human, but I think that is why I saw him as a grandfather figure. Even through his flaws, he tried to do what was right instead of what is easy, and that was all I could ever ask. He made sure that I grew up with a childhood. He didn't tell me why everything was happening, and even though I wish he did, I know that he did it because he thought that it was what was best for me.

His colleagues respected and trusted him, and he trusted people that most wouldn't give a second chance to. He made sure that in school, I got the education that I needed in order to make my life a better one. He respected all of his students enough that he let us have our wands in the hallways between classes, and to me it felt as if he were giving us what we would desperately need later in life.

Albus Dumbledore's death will be seen as a tragedy for years to come, but he always thought of death as nothing but a next great adventure for him to embark on. It is o.k. to mourn the loss of our professor, but he wouldn't want you to grieve for too long over what we could not control. He was a great man, and as he once said… 'I will only be gone from this school when the people around it do to forget me'. I will never forget him, and through me, he will live on forever."
