Iggy rolled his eyes lazily, surveying the room. Another Giant wasn't too far away, but at least he wasn't holding him. His Giant was, hands too tight. Blessedly, he felt the air rush against his scales as he was set back down in his Home. He meandered slowly to a sunny patch.
"No. He's -cute-. You're just narrowminded."
Voices reverberated all through his Home. Iggy kept working his way to the sun.
"He's-- it's ugly, Schuldig. It might make a nice belt, but while it still has blood-flow, I don't want it in our room."
Iggy made a note to bite that one.
---
Voices - again - woke Iggy from his slumber.
"You never take care of it. Have you even fed it today?"
"I was -going- to. The world doesn't always run on your schedule, Brad."
"I'm getting rid of it."
Suddenly, the world swayed. The branch Iggy rested on slid to the side. Then the gentle sensation of going up and down, a laboured rhythm, until it all stopped as his Home was set down again.
"All teenagers should have a pet. Here's yours."
"I don't want a lizard."
"Call it an assignment."
Iggy tilted his head to look at this new one. He would call him... Short Giant.
---
It was dark and cramped. Iggy the Iguana couldn't see a thing. The terrain was... soft. It was too chilly to move. He hoped Short Giant or First Giant came back for him. It had been both who had put him here, after all. Wherever this was.
The whole room moved and light came streaming in, quickly shadowed by some large, ominous figure. There was a hand. Iggy knew this one. It was -Mean- Giant. He turned his head and -bit-!
"Fuck! -Nagi-!"
"Blame Schuldig, it was his idea!" came the distant voice of Short Giant.
Iggy inwardly grinned to himself. Belt indeed.
---
He had been stolen, by a Giant he hadn't seen before. This one was rough and quick and Iggy, Schwarz's pet Iguana, lashed his tail in irritation. Soon, he was placed on the floor. The Giant was gone, apparently, and the window let in a sunny patch just nearby. Iggy very slowly made his way over there.
Suddenly, a blast of warmth and the whir of what sounded like a storm. Iggy's legs worked better, blood warmer, faster and faster... it stopped, but Iggy rolled his eyes gratefully all the same.
"Farfarello, stop chasing Lizzy with the hair dryer."
"But it goes faster."
...-Lizzy-?!
---
Iggy the Iguana found himself back in the habitat he was most familiar. There were other tanks with his friends around him. First Giant, Mean Giant, Short Giant and Scary Giant weren't around anymore - he was partway relieved. Mean Giant had mentioned a Refund. Refunds meant Iggy was safe again. This made him glad.
It didn't last long. There was jostling, handling, general hassle, until he was placed in a new tank all over again.
"Omi, why do you have a lizard?"
"Do you like him, Youji-kun?"
"Sure. I have a belt just like him."
Iggy made a note to bite that one.
