Guy's Team
by ickybicky
A/N. Just a wacky fic with Brick, Jo, Cameron and Lightning. I wrote this before the series had even finished it's first airing.
"All right!" Lightning cheered. "Our all guys team is still going strong!
Cameron looked at him strangely.
"Isn't Jo on your team?" he asked warily.
"Sha-yeah!" the cocky athlete cheered, not missing a step in the slightest. "He's the second toughest guy on the team, behind Lightning of course!"
Cameron's eyes widened in disbelief. There was no way he couldn't see it. He had to have noticed something strange about his supposedly male teammate.
Maybe if he talked about Jo a lot, Lightning could give her a second look and realize his mistake.
"Jo and Brick really fight all the time. Don't they?" he asked casually, feeling extremely awkward.
"A little sports rivalry wouldn't hurt anyone!"
As if on cue, Brick and Jo ran out of the woods, shoulder to shoulder, in a close race.
"Listen, soldier, it is proper to clear way for those who are engaging in more strenuous training!" Jo growled, pushing against Brick's side to knock him out of the narrow path.
Brick gritted his teeth and held his ground. "Then you're the one who should move out of the way!"
Cameron rolled his eyes. Jo's growls were not helping his case with Lightning.
"Aren't you worried about your team's unity? What if they hurt each other and can't help in challenges-" Cameron saw the superjock getting ready to interject with another arrogant statement, probably along the lines of not needing their help when he added, "or they start to get in your way."
A little concern started creeping into Lightning's face. "Well, Jo's a good guy! He'll take it easy on army guy!"
The homeschool nerd groaned, unable to take it anymore. He was almost starting to feel sorry for Jo. She had seemed so eager to wear the makeup that one time and maybe Lightning's "confusion" had instigated that.
In the background, Jo and Brick were fighting. They were fighting so intensely that were now rolling around on the ground. Cameron couldn't hear what they were saying. They were so far away.
Lightning looked back in concern.
"Guys! Stop it! Lightning can't carry both of you through the next challenge!"
He started to run to his teammates, when the athlete suddenly stopped, and was now standing disturbingly still.
Cameron walked closer to "The guy's team," a little wary of something that would shake Lightning's stupid bravado.
Brick and Jo weren't fighting. They were kissing. They were being rather passionate as well. Cameron doubted this would ever air.
"Well, at least they're aren't going to hurt each other," Cameron said brightly.
"Lightning doesn't judge!" the athlete said stiffly, trying to smile.
Jo stopped kissing and looked up at lightning with a fierce glare that caused him to step back. "I'm not gay! Don't you have eyes?!"
Cameron sighed, relieved when a flash of realization hit the other boy's eyes.
"I never knew that Brick was a lady," Lightning said with wonder.
Cameron's weak body couldn't take any more stupidity, and he fainted dead away. The last thing he heard before he completely lost consciousness was Lightning's voice.
"Don't worry, little girl! I'll take you to the nurse!"
