A fulfilling love (Nathan POV and a little dialogue at end)

He had fallen in love with her three months ago. He remembered it wel; how he finally realized what he had been missing for so many years. He had been missing out on many things, he thought, as he listed them off in his head: a good soul that would listen, a strong relationship that was based on something other than sex, a fulfilling love, .

But enough of this he thought, he was laying here with the woman e loved, and they had just made love, he and Haley James had just slept together; Haley's first. He flashbacked once more to when they had almost gone all the way, but Haley had stopped it before it got out of hand. It was the night he had passed out at his basketball game against Cove City. He had gone to the hospital but then he snuck out to avoid a nasty confrontation with his father. Almost instinctively, he had headed for the James' residence, where he hoped she was there so she could calm his nerves and help him through his troubles. He remembered he had gone upstairs when nobody answered the door, and he found Haley talking to his answering machine. He had poured his heart to errand had actually cried. But, while pouring his emotions out, he pulled Haley into his heart. She had agreed to let him stay with her that night. That was the night he had realized he loved her thought in the present. Remembering once more he had waned her so bad. She had looked so sexy in his warm-up shirt. He still did ant her and he had he for all the right reasons.

His thoughts were broken by an involuntary jolt Haley gave in her sleep. He wondered what she was dreaming about. As he looked at her sleeping, he thought to himself, "she is so beautiful." He wanted this to last as long as possible, this being him laying there with her cuddled next o him, head on his chest. He couldn't help but smile. He was so happy. For the first time in so long he genuinely and completely happy. He had been able to get so much off his chest since she had been around. He felt like he was able to confront his problems instead of dropping in the wastebasket, hoping they would go away. He was able to open up to her. It helped some that his dad wasn't around but he knew most of his being happy could be contributed to one ting, Haley James, who to him was the most perfect human being on the face on the Earth. The guys would kill him if they knew all the sappy stuff he thought about and said when he was around her. Then he was reminded of something, Saturday practice. Oh sh*t, he had totally forgotten. He looked at the alarm clock and saw that if he left now, he would only be 45 minutes late. He tried not to wake Haley as he was getting up, but he accidentally knocked her awake. (Nathan POV over)

"Sorry"

"Where are you going?"

"Saturday practice, I totally forgot."

"How long have you been up?"

"About an hour." "Doing what?" she asked as he hurried around the room trying to get ready.

"Thinking." He said as he found his keys, he then rushed over to Haley and gave her a sof kiss on the lips and said, "Call you when I get out."

As he was rushing out the door, she said in a soft tone, "Thank you."

He couldn't help but turn around and give her another kiss, his one a little deep. "Now I really have to go or I will be more scr*wed than I already am. I love you."

"Love you too."

"Bye."

"Call me later," she said as he rushed down the stairs.
