Ash turned to Misty. Misty turned to Ash. "Well, I just wanted to say..." "Em, I just wanted to tell you..." "I love you, Misty." "I love you Ash." They kissed.
Brock ran farther and farther away, tears streaming from his eyes. He was howling, "Why the hell me?! What the hell did I do to deserve this?! Why, in the name of God, did it have to be ME?!!!!!" he was screaming. He stopped and just wept.
"Hold on, there's one there." It was Jake. He had his laser set on Brock. Brock turned around, and shouted, "Go on, kill me!! I've got nothing to live for anymore!! Just shoot me, here and now!!!" Jake wasted no time in shooting. Brock's top half was blown away. His legs slumped, slowly, to the ground.
When Brock's father found his son's legs, he buried them.
He made a headstone from the stone of the Pewter City Gym. This was the epilouge on it:

Ash and Misty were asleep. Roy and Jake stormed into their camp. "What? Oh God. Misty!!!! Wake up!!!" Ash shouted. "Wha... oh God, Ash." Misty buried her face in Ash's leg. "Hah!! Cowards!! Well, I'll let you tell me when to shoot." Roy was slightly touched. Misty stood up. "Oh Ash, looks like this is the end." Misty murmered into Ash's ear. "It's okay, Misty. Just stand up and put your arms around me, and everything will be okay." said Ash. "It's okay, as long as we love each other." "Goodbye Misty, and I love you." "Goodbye Ash, and I love you." At the moment of their death, they both said the immortal words, "I Love You."
