A tiny, round hand shot straight up and waved frantically. The large brown eyes were filled with tears and the boy's chin was quivering wildly. He was at least seven years old and he had taken a nasty spill from playing soccer with friends. The game was carried away and two boys bumped into each other.

"Help! Help! It hurts!" the boy cried and the tears escaped from his eyes.

An older boy, close to his teen years, rushed out to the field and knelt down beside the little one. "What hurts?"

"My knee! My knee," he cried and pointed to his left leg. The older boy observed the knee and realized that it was just a simple grass stain. He lifted the boy into his arms and walked to the edge of the field.

"You know what?"

"No. What?" the little brunette asked.

"I think you'll be just fine."

"But it hurts! It really, really hurts!" the youth bawled his eyes out.

"You'll be fine." He assured the little one. "What can I do for you?"

The kid was placed on a bench and his hand pointed to his idol's goggles. "Let me wear those!"

A smile came across his face and the young man slipped the goggles off of his head. Putting the eye wear on the little one's head, the older one put his arm around his shoulder and said, "You know every great soccer player takes a dive to the ground."

"Really?"

"Yup."

"Did you hurt yourself?"

He thought of the many times he fell and injured himself and others. Chuckling, he finally answered, "Too many times to count."

"Then what happened?"

"I learned to think ahead of my actions, Kazuko."

"How?" the little boy kept asking questions and adjusting his goggles to look more like the boy he looked up to. After seven more questions the little boy stopped crying and was laughing along with the older boy. He offered to walk the soccer player home so they began to exit the soccer field. Kazuko held onto the other's hand tightly and swung it just a little bit.

"Can I keep the goggles for the night and tell Mama about what you told me?"

"Sure, kid."

"Thanks, Daisuke."

"No problem."

::squeaks:: I just had to write a non-bash story for Daisuke fans. I hope it turned out okay. It was kinda weird for me. But I like the way it turned out I suppose. R/R please. ~HT
