Buffy sat at the Bronze watching her two best friends sway back and forth with the music. She sighed and looked glumly down at her Coke.
"Damn, its only coke.just like it was 20 minutes ago Buff. I could really go for a beer." Buffy said to herself.
She spotted her friends walking over to her table just as she was getting up.
"Where you going Buffy?? The party's just starting!!!" Said the red head.. "We were just about to go get some drinks. don't leave..you can dance with us!!"
Buffy sighed and shook her head, "I'll pass on this one guys.I better patrol..Fight off all the nasties."
"Oh like Angel?" Xander said coldly and turned away to walk to the bar to order some drinks.
Buffy crossed her arms and looked at Willow, "I gotta go..Try not to have too much fun without me.." Buffy smiled and left the bronze.
*God why do I even bother trying with Xander.he's so temperamental I just can't talk to him any mor--*
Buffy bumped into a tall dark man and moved back to get a better look, "I'm soo sorry.I." She looked up and saw a dark handsome face. Her knees felt weak and she thought she might fall. *Angel*
"Hello Buffy.Where are you off too all alone in the graveyard like this." Angel said sarcastically.
Buffy smiled *God he's gorgeous* "Just patrolling.fightin' off the beasties here in good ol' Sunnydale."
Angel moved a little closer to Buffy, "I have some information.something's going to happen in Sunnydale.something big." He whispered in her ear.
She pushed him away and walked past him, "Oh so information's all you want to give to me." She realized what she said and blushed over but it was soon forgotten. Angel smiled and Buffy continued, "Well forget it. I don't need your help, your just a vampire.I can't believe I could ever love you." Buffy walked into the graveyard watching Angel drop his jaw and stand there in complete silence.
Angel didn't know what to say.*She loves me? But I'm just a vampire like she said.I.No she must be lying.but.She loves me?*
Buffy walked deep into the graveyard when Xander came out of the bushes. Xander took out a bat and that's the last thing Buffy remember, because she was knocked out cold. Xander stabbed through the bottoms of her legs letting the knife go all the way through. He did that to both when he saw a certain brooding vampire come up behind him. Xander fled and Angel picked up the rapidly dieing Buffy in his arms.
