The Spectrum of Love
When I walked into the room, the walls were twenty feet high. The ceiling was bare in some areas. The black piping of electrical wiring and such was visible to the naked eye. The feeling of a greater power walking throughout the room like a proud lion makes you glad to be alive. My knees shook with an unknown force pushing them similar to that of a mother bird pushing its young for their first flight. My hands were raised in the air, palms pointed toward the sky like flag signaling a countries territory. The air felt light and soft like feathers from a mother goose.
There is an unearthly feel to the air, but in a positive way; one that creates a happy, joyous sense to… everything. The feeling is unexplainable, untamable, yet my heart yearns for it; once I get it, I cannot get enough. It encloses me within itself, it sheds a new light to the meaning of life and yet it is closer than anyone can realize. It becomes a part of me; it consumes me bringing me to the hope, to the belief of what we're made to do.
The sound of five thousand people softly singing in an unknown language of them fills the room. The sound vibrates off the walls and collides with my ears in such a way that only He can make perfect. One would think it would sound like chaos and bring confusion and turmoil but instead it creates a soothing lullaby unlike any other as if it were a sound from all of the inhabitants of the world. The place fires up as some people start falling and while others start to laugh as if they're high on something, but that something transforms us into a new man, or woman, bringing in a light to show us our doorway to hope, and faith.
A female starts playing the keyboard gently and sings into a mike along to the crowd. her hair is short, glossy and brown like that on a brand new sports car, her clothing is that of the normal fashion resembling a semi wealthy person. She starts singing in English as the people keep singing in another language. People start cheering to the good news she talks about. The room erupts as people sing, thank, and cheer Him. The room sounds like a soothing wind in the summer night one that seems to bring freshness into a room of stinky sumo wrestlers' locker room. It soothes my soul as though it were rock and roll for Bob Seger.
The crowd is getting more and more into the moment. between those that are on their knees as if bowing to a king standing before them, to those that have their hands held high as if their under arrest. It is truly a sight to be in awe, I truly feel at home among hundreds of others under the same command, from the same being. The air is again soft as a mother gooses feathers. This feeling I feel, this awesome power, this great compassion that no one else can give. It's Love.
