There's never a way through a problem.

Well, not when it's related to the dark lord anyway – because he somehow finds a way to properly twist your thoughts so that you're bound in a web of lies. And then there's never a way out,

Azkaban really changes you in a way – hearing the wife muttering in her cell (because Bellatrix hasn't ever been sane,) and remembering every terrible moment in your life because of dementors – it's inevitable really.

Sure, Rodolphus doesn't want the wizarding world to fall into that of half bloods, and filthy Mudbloods, but in the end – is it really actually worth all of the torture he has to endure.

It's not like he really had anything to miss anyway – his wife unloving, no heir to the family. Oh how much Rodolphus had wanted an heir. He's stuck in a cold place instead, and Rodolphus doesn't know what to feel anymore. He only became a death eater to please his parents.

He wanted to become a death eater though, didn't he?
