Natalie and Henry both were in each other's arms, laying on a blanket on the beach watching the sunset. They both had settled down and just rested together, practically the only ones on the beach. She laid her head on his chest as hs arms snaked around her, holding her close to him. He knew that her mother just left her. She was still upset. She needed someone to comfort her...and that was his job.
"Henry?" She asked, looking up at him.
"Hmmm?" He mumbled, kissing the top of her head.
"Why are we here?"
He smiled and pulled her even closer. "Because this is romantic and I was feeling sappy today..."
"No, really why are we here?"
He just paused and held her away from him for a moment. "Look, I know you're still upset about your mom-"
"So that's what this is about? You feel bad for me?" She just shook her head and sat up angrily.
"No! I mean, yes! But, I brought you here because I wanted to tell you that I love you and that I'm here for you. If you ever wanna talk or something, call me, text me...you know. I know what you're going through and no one should go through it alone. That's why I'm staying with you throught this..."
She just smiled at him, trying to hide that there were tears falling from her eyes. "Th-Thank you..." She quickly laid back down and wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug. She was so happy she had someone like Henry to go to...he knew what she was going though...he knew what happened. And he wanted to help her through all of it.
"I love you..." she muttered, kissing his cheek gently, cuddling him once again.
"I love you too..." he said back, pulling her as close as before. "Don't ever forget that."
She nodded and just smiled, knowing that even if she tried, she could never forget it.
