The Twilight Dweller
by
Arc Morpheus
He is a twilight dweller, his existence is in its infancy,
the world in which he dwells, is just a thing
Which warns them, with his stillness, to forsake
their bodies! troubled times for darker and purer things.
Scents waft him from his distractions; once he loved
the hush of the night, and all that came in between,
the forests and the moss, dusk not yet clear
mellow and mingling, yet never really seen.
He breathes the scent of her living fragrance, coming from afar,
it smells of flowers so fresh with youth; decadently drops of her scent
drip into his inhuman senses, drawing her nearer, nearer
the maiden with deep brown eyes, walking into his Twilight paradise.
Silently he crouches in thoughts so deep:- Even heaven and earth are still: from highest stars to the peninsular mountain, all his thoughts
are centered on her pulsating life intense, not air, not leaf
not a breath is lost, just a sense of that which is - his defence.
Then he stirs his mind infinite, he feels in solitude, he is least alone;
the truth which melts and purifies; the darkened tone of his soul,
His soul, his source of eternal disharmony,
could disarm the spectre of her death.
