Another not-so-normal day for me.
We'll start from the beginning. I had to get ready for school. I woke up thirty minutes late and had to hurry. When I came out of my house, I found out it was raining. I didn't have time to go get a jacket or an umbrella. And now... Achoo!
Halfway, I met up with Zoey. She was having her usual bad luck with umbrellas. The fabric part of her's was blown away by the wind. How ironic.
First period was Music. There was a substitute today, so we watched a movie. The Prince of Egypt. What's the point of watching if I already know the story by heart? Ash and Drew sat right behind me. They were practically screaming in my ear. I told them to stop, but we got in trouble with the sub. Lunch detention.
Second period Science. I was paired up with Harley. Harley. Could this day get any worse?
Third period Art. I had to ask. Ash sat right next to me, clueless about what we're doing. He kept asking questions every minute. He even made unnecessary comments, like 'What's this?' and 'What are we doing again?'. I know he knows. How annoying.
Lunch. I had to sit at the detention table. The boys there were laughing hard, since I barely get detention. I should be laughing at them. They get detention every day.
Fourth period Math. Another substitute. We had to take this major test. He practically fell asleep during, so we started talking. Zoey and Kenny switched seats and said they were each other. I started saying random phrases in different languages, like 'Hindi ko alam,' which is Tagalog for 'I don't know'. Paul, who sits in front of me, asked if I take different languages. Nope. All of a sudden, Drew stood up. "Sh-Sh. Everyone, be quiet," he said. I rolled my eyes. "Can you?"
I had to walk home because I missed the bus. The rain was harder than before. I noticed someone was behind me. It was Ash and Paul. Paul looked worried. "Do you want some shade under my umbrella?" he asked. I noticed that Ash didn't have an umbrella and he wasn't under Paul's. Ash was annoyed. "You didn't let me-" He was cut off. "Dawn's a girl," Paul said. "It's different." Ash was even more annoyed. "But I'm your best friend! And I'm soaking wet!" he complained. Paul smiled. A real smile. "So is Dawn."
I got under Paul's umbrella. He moved his free hand so he could hug me. His embrace was warm and dry. Ash didn't notice a thing. Best worse day ever.
Aww, how cute! R&R!
