Actually, he could. Let's talk names for a moment. Jinx. Tough Luck. Cryptic King. Cobra. All demonic witchcraft names.
Also, this game encourages animal abuse. I mean, think about it. You're sending out a dog to fight battles against demonic entities! Much like Okami, a demonic game in its own right.
Also, the dragons. Oh, my goodness, the dragons. One of them is clearly the spawn of Hell himself. You all know who I'm talking about. Hey, kids! There are demonic dragons in these games! Worship them!
