Disclaimer: I do not own Hetalia, or its characters.
A/N: A new year, a new me. While this is incredibly short, I heard that a drabble a day keeps writers block at bay. Why that may, or may not, I have had been having intense writers block with hardly any luck in creating stories without a little help. So, I'm giving this thing a go.
Enjoy.
I was slightly disappointed in not getting the seat I wanted in class. While it was closer to the door, I was still disappointed with my seat the teacher assigned me. It was near the door, at the end of the rows of desks, up in front. It was near another boy, and I peered at him with a smile, as he stared rigidly forward, at a book, seemingly avoiding me.
"Hola!" I greeted, despite all the signs of this boy not wanting to do anything with me. He glanced at me, incredulous. I had my hand held out for him to take. "My name is Antonio Fernandez Carriedo, what's yours?" The boy frowned, and spoke, not taking my hand.
"Lovino." He stated bluntly, and returned to staring blankly at the book in his hands. I leaned in closer, trying to find out what was so interesting about the book. I was able to catch a few words of the page he was on before falling out of my seat and onto the floor, hitting his desk. "Wha- Idiot." Lovino peered down at me, and I sheepishly smiled at him. "What the hell were you doing?"
"Uh-" I got up, into a sitting position, and I kept on smiling at him. "I was trying to see what you were reading~ It looks like an interesting book, si?" Lovino's cheeks turned a slight red, as a blush slowly crept on his face. I couldn't help but smile bigger at that. He was so cute~
"Fuck off, you creeping bastard." He hissed lowly under his breath, and I laughed. Lovino turned sharply from me, and I sat on the floor, still smiling. Then the teacher came around, and sternly lectured me about sitting on the floor. I barely listened to him, as I staggered upright and back into my chair.
Soon, Lovino began to warm up to me. Well, at least, get used to my advances and pushes to be friends. I wanted a relationship with Lovino where I could talk and talk with him, and he would talk and talk with me (but Lovino seemingly liked to be quiet at points, glaring at me as I told him about my day). Something about Lovino made me feel happy, and I couldn't place my finger on it.
While in class one day, I was staring at Lovino, trying to decipher how come he made me feel so happy, so light. I was unconsciously smiling at him, my chin resting on my hand. Lovino was just so cute to stare at, as he glanced up at the board and then back down at his notebook, before scowling and scribbling something down.
Suddenly, he glanced at me. I smiled and waved at him, and a furious blush suddenly spread out all over Lovino's features. I took some sort of satisfaction in causing Lovino to blush, as he glanced away quickly. I laughed under my breath, and laid my head on my desk.
Yeah, this could be a crush. I think I like it.
