One day in Lavaridge Town, Flannery's grandfather had to go to a Poetry Convention, so he leaves the care of the Gym and his most trusted Pokémon Typhlosion to his granddaughter and he left in a hurry. Flannery's grandfather still let the closed sign up to give his daughter extra time to recover as her responsibility as gym leader and a girlfriend to her grandfather's Pokémon continues!
