Falling into Tartarus from Percy's perspective, told in poem form. / I do not own Percy Jackson.

People think the fall to hell is easy

But the gods can't hear me and I'm getting queasy

I've never faced anything harder

I'm pleading now. Begging. Trying to barter.

.

Not for my sake, but for hers

But with each second the passing landscape blurs.

There is no escape, there is no way out

All we can do is fall and shout

.

I made him a promise, that we'd find the doors

But how can we do that when we're fighting a war?

A war for our lives, a war to make it home

All cause of a stupid spider she beat in Rome

.

The battle was won, the danger was over

But now here we are dealing with what's left over.

You can outwit the odds and overcome the fates

But in the end what we want doesn't relate

.

She said something to me, whispered in my ear

I think... but I don't want to hear

Those beautiful words coming out of her lips

Not in this place not at a time like this

.

That means that she thinks it's the end

That we will never mend.

.

The air around us changes, becomes more red

And then "water" is what she said

I hear it too, but I thought it was a trick

Of my mind, for I feel sick

.

This water isn't normal, and can possibly kill

But it's the only thing that can stop us from being flat as a bill

So I push with my strength and give out a yell

No the fall isn't easy, the one into Hell.
