Chapter 1

Frank and Laura Saunders were enjoying their free day from work with their lovely little daughter Stephanie, the two didn't have a lot of time for their daughter because of their very time consuming job. The two had spontaneously decided to make this trip to LA at the beginning of the weekend, while Mother and Daughter had been doing some clothes shopping Frank had been quite busy with a couple of meetings with Navy Officials. Frank's firm had been really lucky to get a big order directly from the Navy, that would really rescue that one other important in his life besides his wife and lovely daughter from bankruptcy at the very last second.

While the happy family continued to walk through the city, somewhere on the other side of it two very suspicious looking guys pretended to be very busy with looking at the window of a clothes shop with as in reality they were keeping a close eye on their target that was just a few feet away: Frank Saunders. The two had followed him and his family for quite a while already, wanting to make him pay because of the fact that his company was being responsible that innocent children had died during numerous drones attacks in Pakistan and they wanted revenge for their dead children. Now they only waited for the right moment to act, of course they had already a nice little plan in place that would definitely work to perfection.

Meanwhile Eric and Nell where sitting in a café together, both of them enjoying a nice cup of cappuccino together with some ice cream since they both had been in the mood for it because of this wonderful warm weather outside: It was warm but not that kind of hot, that the sweat would be cascading down their both foreheads.

"You really bought some nice looking outfits today Rockstar, can't wait for the right occasion to come for you to wear that lovely blue one." Eric said after he taken another spoon full of his ice cream, accidently he shoved one piece of it right next to and not into his mouth. That didn't go by Nell unnoticed, so she reached for it with her right hand and softly wiped it away with one thumb. Eric could be a little clumsy when it came to eating and while this was totally embarrassing for him, she couldn't help but think how adorable that looked. He smiled back her shyly and said:

"Thanks for that." There was some silence between them before Nell would finally say:

"Okay enough shopping for me today, we can stop by the electronics shop next if you want." Of course that made him smile, he was so glad that she voluntarily tagged along to shop for some typical men things and he always valued her opinion in the matter of clothing choices also very highly.

"Sounds good to me, how's your Banana Split tasting Rockstar?" He said and couldn't help but take her hand gently into his and softly stroking it. Nell on the other hand got completely send to Cloud Nine, as they entwined their hands with each other and she kind of got so distracted by that sudden butterflies in her stomach that she didn't really hear her boyfriend's question at first.

As she had finally recollected herself Nell replied: "It's very good, the best Banana Split I've ever eaten I even might say." The two then focused back on their ice cream before it would melt away to a little puddle of just liquid sauce and the two surely wanted to avoid that from happening. But he was once again interrupted by the vibrating of his mobile phone; quickly he pulled it out of the pocket of his jeans and read the Message from Deeks on the Display.

Hey bro got some time for surfing tomorrow?

Eric shortly grinned because of that message, typed a short answer and as he saw that questioning look on the face of his partner he said: "Oh that was just Deeks, asking if I have the time to go surfing with him tomorrow."

"So I guess that you've kind of had expected to hear from him today in some way didn't you Beale?" Nell said with a little grin on her face and she surely was totally okay with him going surfing with Deeks, because it certainly wasn't the case that she didn't want to share her partner with anyone considering him to be her property would be totally absurd in any way possible.

"Of course I did, because you should know that I have that secret ability that empowers me to see into the future." Eric said with a big grin of his own at his partner from OPS after he had taken two more large sips from his cup of coffee which made the cup almost half empty. Meanwhile the two goons had continued to follow the Saunders Family without being detected by any of them and the two had to say that they were really happy with their work so far and right now they were only waiting for the right moment to grab Frank Saunders. The Saunders Family was so busy with shopping that they didn't notice that they were followed by two suspicious guys and their boss had ordered him to grab Frank and his wife, because of one thing: As a part of an Black Ops against a network of Rogue Former Army Soldiers, that were involved in weapons smuggling Saunders had acquired something that didn't belong to him: A stick with encrypted data on it which could bring down the entire network and destroy their plans.

In the same shopping center Nell and Eric still were sitting together in the Café and they were very happy to have some free time, something that was really rare when it came to the very time consuming job at OPS and so that was a thing that they had to enjoy as much as possible. Meanwhile the Saunders Family had left the Shopping Center, the one guy that apparently was the boss of the other two guys finally said: "Get the car, it is time to make our move now."

One of the masked men just nodded in response, and then the two men left the scene to get the car while the boss kept an eye on the Saunders Family.

A few minutes later the car of the bad guys came to a stop at one of one the side entrances of the shopping center, to make sure that they didn't draw that much attention to themselves because they wanted to make sure to get out of here with their hostage really fast. Of course it wasn't quite the easiest thing but it took quite a while before the Saunders Family finally left the Shopping Center, having all their shopping bags in their hands and the three masked guys in the car waited for the right moment to grab Frank Saunders.

As Frank Saunders tried to leave the Parking Space, the three masked men blocked his way with their black van quickly got out of the car and one of the guys then screamed: "Mister Saunders get out of the car, don't make to hard for yourself and your family." Frank Saunders wife knew it was a risk, but she didn't want to let her husband go without a fight so she lunged for the weapon of the person who appeared to be to the boss and somehow hoped that she still had some tricks up her sleeves back in the days when she was with the Army.

But unfortunately for her the man was much stronger and smarter than she had anticipated because he was able to quickly overpower her and throw her hard to the ground. Frank Saunders watched this whole thing in horror and said: "Please stop Laura, you're going to get yourself killed and it doesn't have to be that way!" But his wife didn't listen to him and he couldn't say that he was surprised because she always had been a fighter, for another moment he wasn't really sure what to do because their definitely was the risk that the men could hurt his daughter too after they were done with him and his wife but he also couldn't let his wife fight this battle alone.

"Get to the car quickly and don't worry Daddy and Mommy will be okay."

The little Stephanie just nodded with fear in her eyes but she did as she was told and just hoped that her Mom and Dad would really be okay in the very end. Quickly he fought off the second guy that now was coming straight for him and deep down he really hoped that he didn't regret this decision in the end. Hendrickson watched this whole scene from the distance and of course he had expected, that Saunders and his wife wouldn't go down without a fight and so he decided to put the next phase into motion by giving the three other men in the van the command to move out and put an end to this battle that was in the Saunder's favor for now. Before Miss Saunders could react properly she was totally overpowered as two strong arms tried to keep in her check, Hendrickson saw that Frank Saunders tried to come to the aid of his wife and so he said: "Kill her now!" Before Frank was able to reach his wife he had to watch his wife fall to the ground as she was hit by three shots directly into the chest.

"Get me Saunders we have lost enough time because of him and his wife." Hendrickson ordered his men and before he could react he was knocked out by one of Hendrickson's goons.

When he woke up a of minutes later he already was in the backseat of a moving car and could finally

get out the words: "What do you want from me?"

The Boss wickedly smiled at Saunders and said: "You've got something in your possession that doesn't belong to you; it is an USB Stick with some data on it that's very important to us." Frank Saunders was very well aware what the man was talking about: On the USB Stick that was in the possession of his employer, the Office of Naval Intelligence was a Trojan horse that the Terrorist had wanted to use to take control of the Nuclear Arsenal. Of course Hendrickson had been pretty angry after he had known that the USB Stick had fallen into the hands of the Feds just because of one big mistake that his now former second in command had made and that he had to pay the prize for.

He knew very well that he couldn't just hand them the stick but on the other side he had to consider also: How far would they go to get what they want?
