So, this is my first fanfic EVER. And it's basically my version of what could happen the night Brenna welcomes Greer to stay over after the fight with her mom. Please, let me know what you guys think and if you would like me to continue.

Brenna's POV

You were very careful not to wake anyone while climbing up the stairs. Your mom and grandma were sleeping already and April was out for the night with Beth and Leo, so once you found yourselves inside the room, you knew you were pretty much out of danger.

Greer had a worried expression on her face, and before you could think about it, your right hand was firmly holding hers, gently stroking the side of it with your thumb, you held her look and gave her a reassuring smile.

You wished there was something you could say to make it all better, to ease the ache in her eyes. But you couldn't think of anything, nothing you could say would erase the fact that her parents were determined to control every single aspect of her life, without actually caring to understand what their daughter was going through. Nothing you could say right now would erase the fact that you were banned from seeing each other, even if you needed to be together, not just because you had strong feelings towards the other, but also because you supported and understood each other in a way that no one else could.

It all sucked and sadly, there was nothing you could do about it. So instead of saying something to her, you just stood there, holding her hand in silence, hoping that at least for this moment you could make her feel safe.

It wasn't until you felt a little shiver from Greer that you realized she was soaking wet from the rain that was still pouring outside.

"You need to change out of these clothes, you must be freezing in them", you said. Greer just gave you a shy nod."I'm gonna get you some pajamas, okay?"

It was kind of awkward, because you really couldn't risk April getting home and entering the bathroom to find Greer standing there, she wouldn't be too supportive of you sneaking the girl inside the house in the middle of the night. So, you opted for going into the shared bathroom yourself, so that Greer could change in your room.

When you finally came out of there, you found her sitting on your bed, staring into space with a little sigh escaping her mouth. You took a seat next to her and she instantly looked up to meet your eyes.

"I'm sorry you have to go through all this trouble. I just couldn't stay there with my mom yelling at me for no reason…" she said quietly, drifting away from your stare.

"Greer, what happened?" you asked in the softest voice you could find, you didn't want her to feel pressured to talk, but you also wanted to fully understand the situation and hopefully come up with a some sort of a solution to it. You knew sneaking Greer into your place wasn't a permanent answer to this whole mess.

"I tried to asked my parents about my medication and told them how I would like to understand a little better what it does to me, and if there is another way to control my mood issues without taking them and stuff… But they just went nuts about it, saying I didn't know what I was talking about and that I should just leave things as they are." The blond said without even stopping to breathe.

"They treat me like a little girl! I told them I had the right to have some control over my body and over my life, and then my mom just started freaking out, saying that I didn't understand respect and that I was turning into a huge disappointment for them…"

"What?! That's horrible, Greer! What is wrong with them?" You said with honest disgust for the girl's parents. How could they possibly be so blind, their daughter was only trying to tell them what she was feeling and they just blew her off like that.

"I.. I just don't know what else to do…" She said with such a tiny and shaky voice, you couldn't help to pull her in and wrap your arms around her in the strongest way you could manage to. There was nothing fair about this situation, Greer was the sweetest and kindest person you've ever met, and her parents just treated her like some kind of mindless pet they kept around and did whatever they pleased with it.

"You don't deserve this, Greer." You said, your mouth very close to her ear, your right hand squeezing her left shoulder and your left arm holding her in place. "And they don't deserve you." Her breath was coming in shorts gasps while she fought not to cry, holding onto you with all the strength she had. "You are the most kind, sweet and compassionate person I know. You deserve to be in control of yourself, and to ask for it doesn't make you disrespectful or a disappointment to anyone, it makes you a human being who wants to have a say in what she does and who she is." You slightly pull away so you can see her face when you say this… "You are perfect, just the way you are. And if they can't see it, that's their problem, not yours."

You wish you could make it all better, but you know you can't change her obnoxious parent's mind and you certainly couldn't offer her a permanent getaway from the nightmare she was living at home. So you just settle for holding her in your arms as you're doing right now and letting her know that she's not alone, she has you, you're here for her and you're never letting go.

She must read some of it in the warm look you're giving her because all of the sudden she's looking back at you with so much love in her eyes, that you feel your chest tighten up in this overwhelming feeling that blurs your eyes and races your heartbeat to unimaginable levels.

Actually, you can almost feel it drumming its way out of your chest when you realize Greer's face is suddenly inches to yours, her look shifting between your eyes and your mouth, while biting her own lower lip with a mixture of hesitance and anticipation. You can't take it any longer, you want it, you've never stopped wanting her, and right now, this is all too much and you know that right now, you both need each other, you crave to hold one another closer than friends could ever do.

So you close the gap between your mouths, pressing your lips on hers with such tenderness and yet passion, that you feel your body melting into hers. Your arms are wrapped around her waist as she cups your face with both her hands, deepening the kiss even more. The pace of it starts to get really fast and passionate, and before you know, there's a tug at the bottom of your shirt and Greer's hand are wondering up your back.

You are pretty quick to reach out and remove the item from your body, but in the time you do, suddenly you realize where this is leading. You look at her straight, as you both try to even up the hovering of your chests.

"Are you sure this is what you want?" You ask her, and you feel each bone on your body telling you that she does, this is right, this is not about her fight with her parents, but about you, about you loving and needing each other, and finally making amends with it after all this time of being apart.

She brings one of her hands to cup your face as she says: "I am… are you?" That's all you need to hear from her, before both your hand are settling in the back of her neck and pulling her into you, once again.
