You rang the doorbell to Eduard's house, a pink tint forming on your cheeks. 'It must be the cold weather. Yeah, th-that's it,' you thought to yourself. You had to return the notes you borrowed from him for the upcoming quiz at school.
"I'm coming!" you heard him call from inside. The door opened, only for you to meet shy, teal eyes hidden behind wire-framed glasses. "O-oh, good afternoon _," he greeted.
"Hi, Eduard," you smiled. You pulled the notes out of the (color) backpack that had been hanging off your shoulder. "I came by to drop these off." He took the notes gratefully while pushing his glasses back up to the bridge of his nose.
"Th-Thanks. Would you like to come inside?" he asked, a hint of nervousness evident in his voice. You gave him a brief nod and a smile before stepping inside his house. You left your shoes on the side and plopped on to the couch.
"So, um, what would you like to do?" he inquired. You noticed small beads of sweat forming from his forehead. His spectacles were beginning to fog up and his cheeks were a flaring pink. You began to be concerned about your Estonian friend. 'Is he overheating in that sweater?'
"Are you alright? You look a bit ill." You reached out to feel his forehead before he scooted away from your touch.
"I-I'm completely fine!" he protested shyly. "It's just I, uh. Well, you see, er...I really like, I mean, um," he continued to stutter. You giggled internally. 'He's quite cute when he stutters and blushes like that,' you smiled. 'Wait, did I just say that?!' Your gently set your hands on Eduard's shoulders and looked him in the eye.
"There is no need to be afraid," you chuckled calmly. "Just take a deep breath and say what you need to say."
Your friend calmly inhaled and exhaled, looking you dead in the eye the whole time. "_, I l-like, no, I love you," he confessed somewhat confidently. Your (e/c) eyes widened to that of saucers. Your best friend, who you had known for half your life, had just confessed to you. "I-I'm so sorry. I probably just made our relationship awkward now. Thank you for giving me the notes back," he apologized rapidly, standing up from him position next to you. Before he made a hasty retreat back to his room, you grabbed his hand. He turned around to face you in surprise.
"_-_?" You smiled sweetly as he stuttered your name. You pulled him into a tight hug.
"Aw, Eduard. You didn't make anything between us awkward! You know why?" Before even giving him a chance to answer, you pecked his lips. "Because I love you too," you whispered into his ear. Both of you blushed madly. As you unwrapped your arms from his body, he quickly clasped your hands and pushed his lips agains yours. You melted into the kiss leaned into his chest.
"I love you, _."
"I love you to, Eduard."
-(Epilougue)-
Little did the both of you know...
"Why can't big brother love me like that?" Natalia hissed, causing the other two male to shiver a bit.
"Eduard's lucky. He's got _," Toris muttered.
"You're, like, just totally sad because Natalia totally rejected you, huh," Poland teased.
"Maybe."
