Chapter 1: The Picture
SUMMARY: When Harry finds a picture in one of the rooms in Grimmauld Place, he wonders who the woman is and why she and Sirius seem so intimate. When Sirius is confronted by the picture, he goes into a private room where a friend happens to show up with a Pensieve. Sirius then relives his times with the woman he loved.
CRUNCH.
At the sound of breaking glass, Harry Potter winced and looked down. Beneath his sneaker was a now broken picture frame and a photo with a thousands shards of glass littered all over it.
Bending, Harry picked up the photo and examined it. One of the two people he recognized immediately-it was his godfather, Sirius Black. The other was a stunningly gorgeous witch, whom he did not recognize. She had one arm around Sirius' waist and the other was resting on top of her very swollen pregnant belly.
Every now and then they would look up at him and smile, but then they'd stop and look into each others eyes with such love Harry could feel it.
"Oi!" Harry called as he ran down the stairs and into the dining room. A meeting for the Order was being held, but he didn't care. Something about this picture was bugging him. "Who is this woman?"
The adults in the room looked highly agitated by the interruption, and Snape snapped, "Can't you see we're busy here Potter?"
Harry spared him only a glare before going straight to Sirius. He stuck the photo under his nose and demanded, "Who is she?"
Sirius gently took the picture and looked for a moment before setting it on the table and gently pushing it away.
The other eight adults in the room looked at the picture. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw them fidget somewhat uncomfortably and he heard Mrs. Weasely sniffle.
Now Harry knew he wasn't being told something.
"Well who is she?"
Sirius stood abruptly and left the room, but Remus picked up the photo and said quietly, "It's Charisma. Sirius' wife."
