Thankful
Percy and Annabeth sat by the canoe lake. They held hands and stared at the sky.
"Annabeth," Percy said suddenly. "I know demigods don't really celebrate Thanksgiving, but I thought I might as well ask. What are you thankful for?"
"You," Annabeth said without a thought. "All of our friends. Your mom. Chiron. The wars being over. I'm thankful that we haven't been eaten yet."
Percy smiled.
"What are you thankful for?" Annabeth asked.
"I'm thankful for my wonderful girlfriend. For my friends. My mom and step dad. I'm thankful that we're safe and sound with no more wars to worry about. I'm so thankful."
