Shut up and Drive
Eli teaches Clare to drive Morty. A Eclare ONEXSHOT
Eli pulled up to an abandoned parking lot. Clare was sitting in the passengers seat. He looked at her. Her honey collard hair was glowing in the sunlight.
"You ready?" Eli asked
"I am so nervous."
"Don't worry. I am here. I wont let anything happen. Promise."
"Ok." she said as she got out the car he got out to. As she walked over to the driver's seat , Eli looked at her
"Just breathe and remember, keep your eyes on the road." he assured her
"Just give me the keys will ya?" Clare asked and grabbed them from Eli. He smiled. Clare had gotten her learners permit, and her parents were fighting over who was gonna teach her.
*earlier in the day*
"So now I don't know who is gonna teach me. If I ask my mom, my dad will be upset. If I ask my dad, my mom will be upset." she said at their usual lunch spot
"Well you do have a friend who has a car," he suggested "Why don't you just practice on Morty?" Clare breathed in all dramatic
"Your baby? Your gonna trust me to drive your baby?" Clare teased
"Yes. Besides I will be there." he smirked at her
"You know this wouldn't be a bad idea." Clare said "Your the best." Clare smiled and Eli felt his stomach do flips. He was just getting used to them. Something he was glad he had to get used to
*back at the parking lot*
Clare put the keys in the ignition. She turned on the car, and when the car started Clare screamed and Eli laughed
"Hey." Clare said "Ok if you want to help me, you can't laugh." she said
"No problem" he bit his lip. She was even cuter all scared and frustrated. She put her foot on the gas. Eli tried not laugh. As she moved a few feet she screamed again. Eli couldn't help but laugh. She went about 15 feet when she turned it off.
"You said you wouldn't laugh." she frowned. Why was every face she seemed to make was just so cute? Eli thought
"I am sorry." he said then he added silently "Ms. Daisy."
"You are a jerk." she said
"Fine." Eli said. He looked at her "Your problem is that your too tense. Just sit back." he pushed her back more into her seat. "Now close your eyes." he said and she did "And breathe." she did. "Now open. Put your hand on the wheel." he told her and he grabbed her hands on the wheel. He noticed after a few seconds he still had his hand over hers. "Ok. Now turn on the car. And relax." he told her. She began to move. She wasn't starting and stopping. And instead of going only about 15 feet she went from one end of the parking lot to the other. Once she mad it.
"Oh my god I did it!" she screamed in joy. "Thanks you, thanks you thank you." she leaned over and hugged him
"No problem." he told her. Then they locked eyes. Eli smiled and leaned over and cupped her face tenderly and kissed her. Clare kissed him back. She had kissed KC(obviously) and Wesley, but nothing felt quite this right.
Eli kept on kissing her. It was if he couldn't get enough of her. Which was true. As far as he was concerned they could stay here forever. He was almost tempted to just shutting up and driving away.
