Chapter Two.

The New Fraternity Brothers.

It was early…Thanksgiving morning. The sunrise was filtering in to his bedroom window and he was thinking ….to the time Ziva was in this very same bed and having a nightmare. Then his mind flitted to Israel and how he had left her on the tarmac. For the second time Ziva had been left on the tarmac. Then the door bell to his apartment rang." Who could it is…Gibbs?" " Maybe Ziva?!" Tony threw on a robe and raced to the door to look through the peephole and found 5 men standing there with cowboy hats on. Tony recognized the men...they were part of the task force that Ziva worked with from time to time with. Director Sheppard started the task force. Just like the undercover assignment he had with the Frog. Tony opened the door and A booming voice said " Happy Thanksgiving!" "Thanks Reese." Tony answered back. Tony was did not think he was up to company today…going to Gibbs for dinner with Mike Franks daughter in law and granddaughter was going to be trying enough. He wished Ziva were right here with them and not doing her changing alone. Another quieter voice said "Good Morning are you up for some good food and company?" It was the taller darker haired brown-eyed man who said it. Tony answered, "Back ah not really Erik although I really appreciate it." "Well that's too bad because we miss her too and you are not spending the day alone." That was another strong voice with a slight Louisianan drawl now that spoke. " Now Chad don't be so hard on Tony….he doesn't know what we have planned to day." Tony looked at the tallest of the group. At 6"3" brown hair and brown eyed Joe was only and inch taller than Chad or Erik but he had quietness that spoke volumes. " Okay are you just going to leave us in the hall way or can we come in and discuss this?" That unmistakable Texas drawl came from the shorter, blond haired and blue-eyed man of the group. " Oh by all means come in and let the rest of the building sleep." Tony opened the door wide to let them in. The five of them came in and Tony shut the door. He rolled his eyes these 5 were a force to reckon with. "Well, Tony asked what is going on?" Reese spoke up "Tony we all miss her too…but you should not be alone on Thanksgiving so we want you to come out to the Fort and spend the day and the night if you want." Chad jumped in the conversation. "Now before you start we already know that you are not going anywhere." "How do you know that?!" "Oh let me guess your dark Louisiana angel." " Yes Abby was concerned and so are we all." Joe quietly said. " We will have a great turkey feast and football." Reese put his two cents in and before he could continue Chance said, "Do not make me go Ziva on you. You know I have the black belt to prove it." "Do you have a date tonight Tony?" Erik interjected. " No No No! How could you think that?!" "It is just Gibbs is having a couple of us over for dinner." With that Tony's cell phone rang. "Yeah Boss?" he answered it. "Okay." I guess Gibbs, Amera and her daughter will meet us there." Tony looked perplexed. "Our Captain can be quite persuasive." Joe said. "I'll get dressed." Tony turned to go in his bedroom. " Oh Tony dress code is jeans casual. We are going to have fun." Reese said. Tony quickly got dressed in his most comfortable black jeans and green button down shirt. Added socks and after a short mental debate he put a pair of black short boots on. With these guys he did not know what he would be in for. Tony returned to the living room where he has left them and only 2 remained. Chad and Erik. "I called shotgun." Chad said. " Joe, Chance and Reese wanted to get back to the food." With that Tony turned to get his keys when Joe said "Take Ziva's car you know it needs to be driven on the highway." "Beside we like a change of pace from the crew cab pickup truck." Erik said. With that the three left and got in to the red Camaro. "This was a change." Erik said. "However the color stayed the same." Tony had not thought of that. Erik was right. "I need to be back early, I volunteered to work Friday." "Are you sure that's all?" Chad asked. "Yup that's all." Tony answered. With that they got in and head to the Fort.
