In the very beginning, when the world as they knew it revolved around Greece, Zeus, who marshals the clouds, looked down at the world he had created with contentment.

But, something was nagging him at the back of his mind. There had a been a war of Titans. There had been wars between Gods. And the humans knew and thought nothing of it. Zeus knew the humans could never find out the extent to which the Gods ruled their lives, but he also thought about how easily the mortals could be destroyed in a war of deities they couldn't even see.

So, the all-seeing Zeus looked down upon his people and began a search. He studied the lives of the royalty, the priests, the warriors, even the simplest of villagers. And in the small village of Atheneos, a small farming community on the outskirts of Athens, Zeus found a mortal. A mortal worth entrusting with his secret.

Costas Froura was a simple man who lived by simple means. He and his wife, Lotta, lived in a small cottage where Lotta weaved blankets and rugs, and Costas farmed what little he could.

Costas was not the smartest of men, nor the strongest, but what caught Zeus's interest was his loyalty. Costas was faithful to the Gods, and even if he had little, always sacrificed a portion of his harvest to the Olympians. He was also perseveirant, and would do whatever was necessary to support Lotta and ensure her happiness.

Costas Froura was an undoubtedly loyal man to his family and to the Gods.

And so, mighty Zeus met with Costas in his mortal form, and bestowed upon him a powerful secret.

And as the Fates had predicted, Costas Froura became the secret-keeper of the Gods, and the bridge between the mortal world and the mythical world.

In times of godly chaos, Costas Froura, loyal to the Gods and his fellow mortals, would protect the Olympians from the wandering eyes of mortals and protect mortals from the other-worldly happenings of the Gods.

And when Costas and Lotta bore their first child, a boy by the name of Aeotus, the secret was passed down to him. And his son. And his son's son. And so on.

And when the center of the world began to shift, as did Olympus. And their secret-keeper followed.

...

The last surviving male heir is a middle-aged man by the name of Oliver Froura.

He is the guard behind the desk at the Empire State building.

Around his neck, he wears a chain with a key on it. A key to an elevator that is a bridge to another world.

And he is the sole mortal witness of the Second Great Titan War.
