Neville stared with an open mouth at the sight in front of him. Ginny had mentioned that Luna was a little odd, but now Neville saw why Ron had snorted when she said that. This was more than a little odd. This was very odd.
In front of him, Luna Lovegood, the Weasley's childhood neighbor and recent transfer to Hogwarts U, stood in front of him wearing a shirt with a large blue eagle on it and a hat with a large red lion. He assumed that it was the fact that Neville lived in Gryffindor Hall and Luna in Ravenclaw, but it was still very odd.
Oddly sweet though. It looked like she put a lot of time and thought into those clothes, and even if she already had them for some other reason, it obviously took her a lot of time to do and it was kind of cool that she had done it.
"Can I sit down?" she asked, her eyes wide as she looked at him. She has very pretty eyes, Neville thought.
"Yeah," Neville said with a smile. "I like your hat. And your shirt."
"Thank you," she said, returning the smile. "I like your shirt too. You don't have a hat, but I'm sure if you did, I'd like that too."
Neville made a mental note to first, thank Ginny for the blind date, and second, to wear a hat on his and Luna's next one.
