Another normal day on the planet of Mobius. People walked down the streets of station square, shopping or talking to friends. Just another boring day in the eyes of Miles "Tails" Prower. The days when Sonic and him ran around defeating Eggman had stopped as of 2 years ago. Sonic had left, to go after Eggman. He still didn't know why Sonic left without bringing any one. Maybe he didn't need him any more. This depressed the young fox to know that his best friend might not need him.

He wasn't the only one who suffered though. Amy, Sonics self proclaimed girlfriend was still crying about the whole thing. She thought it was her fault that she had pushed him to his limit. The others had tried to calm her but she still cried.

Knuckles was trying to get her to move on. He he had completely given up hope on Sonic ever coming back. It was funny that Knuckles seemed to step into the person who helps everybody place. Cream was upset and did miss Sonic but she got over it fast.

As for Tails he was trying his best to be happy or at least act happy. The last few months had been hard but he kept going, trying his best to hold on to the others. He was also running out of money. Usually the police station would pay them with money after they defeated Eggman. Since Eggman and Sonic left money was getting tougher to get. By now he was thinking of getting a job.

He was on the train now from Station Square where he had gotten groceries. The rain was falling down slowly outside. Humans all around him were talking, laughing, so happy. He suddenly felt alone in the world.

As he got to his house he noticed something red was standing by the door. None other then Knuckles was leaning against Tails house, his purple eyes shining at Tails.

"Hi Knuckles."

"Hey Tails." Knuckles said smiling at the kit.

"So, whats up Knuckles."

His smile disappeared when Tails brought up why he was there. Knuckles was switching to a more serious mood, he could tell. "Its Amy. I went over and Cream was there. She said that Amy was really sad today, she said we should have a party for Amy. Does that sound sound good to you?"

Tails pondered this for a couple of seconds. Why did Knuckles seem so serious about this? Tails agreed and everything a party would be a great idea. He was just a little confused, was all.

"Yes... that's fine with me."

Knuckles smiled again and nodded. He smiled a lot these days.It was probably because he wanted everyone to go back to how they used to be. Knuckles and him hanged out a lot more lately, as well as Cream and Amy. Creams mother Vanilla, let Amy stay at there house when ever she wanted to because of the state she was in.

"Yah, I hope it helps her. I think we all need something to look forward to anyway. But do you think it will help her?"

Tails muffled a quiet yes and nodded, before turning to open his door. Knuckles put his hand on Tails shouder as a goodbye before leaving. Back to an empty house. Tails thought when entering the house.

He went through his regular routine, watch TV, take a shower, go to bed. Usually he would sit thinking thing over in his mind remembering events from 5 months ago. But tonight he actually fell asleep instantly, dreaming of happy memories with Sonic.

Yay the first chapter. I'm tired so I am going to bed now ;) Oh and poor Tails XP.
