We were created and raised on Kamino, if you can call being trained as living, fighting non-entities being raised. We know our duties. They have been drilled into our skulls since before we became aware of the universe.
We are to serve the Supreme Chancellor Palpatine without any doubt, unerringly, no matter what his orders may be. We may not question him. He is the true leader of our army. Our second duty is to the Republic. We are to obey our Jedi commanders, and protect the Republic from the Separatists and other traitors.
I am one of the 501st legion of clone troopers. We are the elite. We do not hesitate in battle, and we are more specialized than our brother clones. I have no name. I am only another numbered unit. My number is 4335. I serve the Supreme Chancellor, and I serve the Republic. I serve my commander. But my commander is no longer a Jedi.
Our battalion has been informed by the Chancellor himself that the Jedi have plotted to overthrow the Chancellor, to overthrow the Senate, to overthrow the Republic. Our duty is clear. We must eliminate the Jedi threat. We must execute Order 66.
We are approaching the Jedi Temple. We will not hesitate. Lord Vader, our commander, leads us. I am in the first battalion, in the first line, on the far left. I do not need to worry about arming my weapon as we approach the entrance to the Temple. It has been powered up and ready to fire the moment I stepped off the transport that brought us to the Temple.
Lord Vader is already in the Temple. We will follow him to the death. He is our commander. He is the Chancellor's right-hand man. There is no need to hesitate. If I fall, he will lead my legion to success. There is no failure.
Lightsabers flash, deflecting my blasterfire as I enter the temple. "Take care of your weapons," I mutter to my companions. Like a rolling thunder, they finish the maxim. "And they will take care of you."
We are the 501st. We serve the Supreme Chancellor. We will not fail.
